This is something we absolutely need more of in the genre, and I think that Abomi Nation is really setting an example here!

Is no strange that i Always wanted crossover with Pokémon and Digimon. Way long before this stuff Become mainstream. But im Happy Is getting recognized.. i want the idea Become real so the war against them Will be finaly over.
I'd love to see crossovers between monster taming games but they'd have to be "non-intrusive". What I mean by this is that the monsters crossed over should either be simply one more monster of the bunch fitting in with the rest of the game seamlessly (though with a small aknowledgement maybe in the dex about what game designed them originally) or they should be completely separate in a way that you can effectively complete the game; the story mode, the dex and everything without needing to interact with the crossover.
That's my two cents and the comment for the algorythm.
Am watching art and the idea of a zelda&pokemon world made by Bilsu arts YouTube channel. He got three starters made and made a video of the typing how it's the same as pokemon but with zelda terms. It's a fun project to see grow. The Zora starters is my favorite.
I always wanted a Pokémon and Digimon is some veil. What I imagine would be similar to Pokémon Conquest but you use 4 Monsters on the field.
You start off with Pikachu, Eevee, Agumon, and Gabumoj from there and recruit more monsters to your city and team. Similar to Digimon World 1.
It would take some time to iron out the details, but it would be so fun if they got it right!
Nexomon qnd coromon. Need I say more?
From a dev perspective, I can confirm that crossovers are a lot of fun to make! As long as the enemies/monsters in question fit Abomi Nation's design philosophy, I'm happy to introduce them to the pool. I think everyone feels right at home so far. 🥰
For big IPs, crossovers I'd like to see is Pokemon + Harvest Moon; like I think a Pokemon Farming games would be so much fun, there are already a lot of berries to grow and other confirmed food items, you could have pokemon with boosts to offer like water pokemon can help you water crops, fire pokemon melt the snow so you can grow whatever, rock/steel/ground can help with mining, certain pokemon can be mounts to get around quickly; there could even be a few unique special abilities to have fun with, like Klefki stealing keys from townies and you can get friendship boosts returning those keys or break into their houses. And you could deal with pokemon who would go after your crops, like Snorlax and Rattata. And maybe there's an evil team hanging around town seeking a legendary that may be sleeping on your farm. There's a lot of fun and potential.
I'd also be intrigued with Monster Crossing, Monster Hunter + Animal Crossing. AC has become an aesthetic villager collector, so could be you want to get the monsters you like most to your island or town. Only your neighbors will have turf wars and damage the land, so you help restore the land; befriending certain monsters could take you to new places, monsters can offer unique quests to do, like feeding the Deviljho, get Rathalos and Rathian's stolen eggs back, go storm chasing with Zinogre.
But I know these are unlikely to ever happen but they're fun to think about. Either way, I do think crossovers are a great idea. It's a nice way to connect the community and games together, and it's just a lot of fun. If you want to make the list I'd be up to see it.
Morning
Monster Rancher Ultra Kaiju is one of the craziest monster taming crossovers we've ever had.
Ed always wise
Gonna be honest here, I respect other people's yearnings, but I, myself, wouldn't want to see crossover between monster taming games I enjoy(such as coromon, nexomon, monster sanctuary or even the big three). I love the designs of those creatures(every single one) but they all belong aesthetically to their own worlds.
The one exception I would enjoy would be a game like Pokkén having digimon and monster rancher creatures, cause that game lends itself more to crossover.
Still, I really enjoyed hearing your point of view and love your channel! Thanks for all the amazing recomendations :3
Actually yeah i get it crossover game actually good idea. Like what what monster rancher do with ultraman series. I probably like the idea of spin-off or some custom skin more in crossover.
Not exactly the same, but the mobile game Medarot S very recently had a crossover/collab with Evangelion which made Medabots/Medarot trending on twitter in Japan for the first time in ages
Nexomon x evocreo when?
Imagine Pokemon x Monster Rancher D:
Let's get some Rancher monsters in Sanctuary and vice versa
Pokken was Made by Bandai the pobtential for a Digimon vs game Is there
Weirdly, there is sorta a game like this. The Super Robot Wars franchise had a spinoff title on the DS that was basically a Pokémon game with mecha.
One really cool crossover that flew under the radar was Yokai Watch X Final Fantasy. You can find Chocobonyan and Mooglenyan in Yokai Watch 3 but since that game came out so late into the 3DS lifespan (and the physical release was really limited), not a lot of people played it outside Japan.
What game is the one at 5:27
I would love a Digimon and Pokemon crossover made in the same sense as the Tekken x Street Fighter crossover. With each company making a game in thier style, but incorporating the other companies monsters into it. Like if Pokemon were to involve Digimon into thier system, they could evolve the Rookie Digimon in a three stage line or split evo that fits Pokemon while creating thier own evolutions for the Rookie Digimon inspired by the higher level Digimon the Rookie could evolve into. While the Digimon style game could go ham with Pokemon and create a load of connecting branches and Armror Evos, or maybe even incorporate Megas into the normal evolution tree.
Pokemon Vs Digimon: World's Collide is a refreshingly great cross over despite it's old school mechanics, it is more visually appealing than a lot of it's predecessors. I love the new region and the story that binds both games in a way that makes sense
do you count monster TCG as monster taming games? or do you not include tabletop games in the mix?
I'd say that a game like monster crown could be considered to have some of their monsters in shin megami tensei because think about it, monster crown is a dark monster taming game and shin megami tensei is an apocalyptic monster taming game one monster I can see going into shin megami tensei is dracoycle ac
My hope is for a Monster Rancher and Digimon crossover , Bandai and Koei teaming up like they did to make Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher
have tiny bit of a list Pokemon vs digmon or Pokemon vs tem tem or Pokemon vs dragon quest mosters digmon do the same maybe or wishful thinking maybe 🤔 PS not sure how it would work with any of them take on dragon quest mosters 🤔they maybe to powerful to do it but who knows
Crossovers, sequels, spinn-offs… There are so many ways to melk franchises nowadays $$$
Digimon has the best looking monsters.
Speaking of Digimon, they did have a crossover with the Medabots mobile game. And they made a Medabot version of a Digimon Vital Bracelet.
My favorite was when Lost Magic for the DS had box dogs as an acquirable unit. Box dogs were from Magic Pengel, the Quest for Color for the PS2, an earlier game of theirs. I've always wished the design team would return to both those games. Some of the most unique monster tamer games out there.
I agree crossovers make for more content for the devs to for dlc tbh it's just a great idea with little to no drawback my favorite crossover would be any of these with each other Coromon x Monster Sanctuary or Nexomon x Coromon All of the above x PalWorld 🤩🤩 lol show us what you wanna see Ed!
Rune factory crossover with monster hunter stories would be nice
I couldn't get into Temtem. I honestly found it soulless & boring. Which is a shame since I was a backer.
But I adore some of the designs like Platypet, Noxolotl & of course Pigepic & would definitely use them in a taming game I enjoyed.
This is great content lol. I would love to see more crossovers
Crossover not needed for pokemon because Pokemon itself is more famous except like medabot who is not famous so need crossover with digimon to gain another customer/market
I honestly dont like crossovers in anything really. "I recognize thing from different game" does not make a game good and only attracts monkey brains who think it does 😡
The main issue that happens with crossovers, trademarks/licenses. I seen this with Cyberslueth some of the DLC digimon and clothes were removed from most of the online stores outside of asia because of licensing agreements and trademarks.
I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea but it doesn't seem like a great one either.
It requires more work hours than it would normally take to create a single monster, the communication between teams and whatnot, making sure both teams are pleased with the end result, for what is essentially argued to be a billboard monster.
If the goal is to expose players to other monster taming franchises, I think that type of crossover is too much effort for very little payoff.
It does seem fun tho. More mons = better game.
