  1. I am playing a tank myself, Like always in MMOs and i have to agree with you on the sword and shield.
It feels like i am stuck with Reverse Stab and Defiant stance, The 3rd ability does not matter as much, But i went with Shield bash because of the threat and stun.
The second weapon is only used for trash mobs.. I went with the hammer, because of the AoE CC, taunt and a bit of self healing.

About the gem.. I bloody hate it.. Imagine finding an upgrade, But you can't use it because it does not have a gem slot… It happends A LOT.

  2. Sad that SnS isn't satisfying to play; one of the things I didn't like about ESO was that SnS was a little underwhelming.

Though I'm glad the inventory system isn't like ESO's lol

  4. I played just shy of 40 hours on my first account. I was unfortunate enough to choose Eden as my first server, which turned out to be 2nd most popular behind Valhalla. So I had to get on by 8am everyday and couldn't leave my CPU for more than 15 minutes. Normally, with a new game, this wouldn't be a problem. And with New World, I've loved every minute spent playing. The problem has come when my internet drops or one of my cats run into the plug or any other random behavior temporarily drops the internet. Now I'm in a 2 to 8 hour que, which means I'm done for the day.

That being said, I made a new character about 10 hours ago. I was nearly level 30 and hadn't even progressed MSQ to getting the Azoth Staff, nevermind run the first expedition. I was close to lvl100 on multiple trade skills. If you are new to the game, play on a new server. Theres no ques. I logged to get lunch, or my kids from school, or for dinner etc today and I was able to get back on the game at any time. Believe me, its worth it.

  5. I started a second character yesterday in a low pop server because of the queuing time and deleted my first character. I tried logging back into the game after 7pm and had a queue of 800, much better than the queuing time of my first character but just goes to show that low pop server’s only remain low for a few hours

  6. Omg thank you Ruri. I thought I was the only one put off from the way tanking is handled. They can defitnely learn a thing or two from ffxiv way of tanking.

  7. Great video, I am willing to bet that everyone in a sever that has to queue most of the day will move and that sever will become empty and the empty servers will become full cause everyone moved. Does that make sense, sounded better in my head.

  8. This is classic scarcity marketing by AMZN right? Congesting the servers, getting everyone talking about the queues tens of thousands long creating FOMO, etc.

  9. Im on that server and today when logged there was no que, around 8am I suppose but not that crazy of a time … Still yeah nice imbalance with faction but fck yeah I'm in the greens , I like a challenge =)

do keeps us posted of you server movements as Im guessing where you go there will be a chance of more TUGAS in that server 😉

  10. It does gathering and crafting in a good way I guess? But combat and especially the 5-man lvl 25 dungeon was what made me instantly uninstall. It is just a mess. Tons of white knights trying to defend it but this aint no MMO. The dungeon mobs jump around like monkeys, tanks run around and "kite", melee dps just running after and missing 90%. Dungeon boss the same… with infinite adds. FUN! NO! STAY AWAY!

  11. A good review. But I'll stay on the fence for at least another half a year before deciding if I want to try this game.

With lots of things still to do in "FFXIV" before the upcoming Endwalker expansion and plenty of story remaining in "SWToR", which also gets an expansion this year, I really don't have time for another MMO at the moment. I'm also waiting for the next patch for "Minecraft", plus I've many other offline games that are yelling that I should play them.

With all this in mind, I have to be sure that any new online game I join will be worth my time. And after what I've read and seen during streams on "New World", it's not for me in its current state. Not saying it's a terrible game, but I've not seen anything that makes me want to play either.

  12. Finally, someone who's not rushing the game and actually taking a moment to enjoy their time. Whenever i see video like "how to whatever fast in new world!" I roll my eyes and keep scrolling🙄. How can you play a game like that and then complain about no content at the end game?
Also metas are so boring to me, its way more fun creating your own build to play that works for you 😁

  13. I'm into sandbox experiences, but this combat just looks so fucking clunky with the animation locking, slow movement speed and woeful lack of skills.
Most PvP boils down to "spam left click and he dies" or "he runs away and you have to chase him for a full minute"

  14. A “Stream” is a great place to fish….

I started this game on thursday night, I have yet to hit a que…. Seems like an issue for those who started early on day one. Also gotta avoid the servers with idiot streamers like Asmong.
