  1. Sometimes, I won't take my BMW for rideshare, but rather take my Jeep. I've been rear ended THREE TIMES in the Jeep, with two times being me sitting at a stoplight, waiting for it to turn green. BAM! In Mesa, the kid was going like 25mph, but out west in Avondale on El Mirage and Buckeye, the older gentleman was going around 45mph when he impacted with the Jeep (video on my channel showing the damage to his car – totaled his Buick – and to my Jeep.

I log around 60k miles per year, and I've seen more accidents than I can even count. If people realized that there ARE DRIVERS out there – and to just wait for us to get there – don't drink and drive. We might not get paid a WHOLE lot to do this, but we do ok. We're gonna get the ping and we'll come get you (as long as Lyft or Uber doesn't play us and give us less than half of the fare.) We still take the rides, even when we don't get tips to compensate for the distance required to go pick someone up. We think of times like this, when someone will make the wrong decision and grab their keys.

They have no idea of the damage they are about to cause…and they can't undo it. RIP Dawn and hope your family heals over time from this. Even when people do the right thing, the wrong thing happens to them. That's the worst part. They did the right thing by at least KNOWING not to drive their own car after drinking. This guy deserves to never see the outside of those prison walls again. That family is destroyed.
