Does New World live up to the hype? In this video we go over New World and how it compares to other MMO’s as well as what the first day of playing the MMO is like. These are my first impressions after launch day.

I havent played this game yet, but I've watched a few hours of gameplay from various content creators. I've played alot of NEVERWINTER ONLINE and ESO– this seems like a very 'retread' combo of those games with a lot of $$$ thrown at it. I hope it's successful for those that want another game to play, but it doesnt seem appealing. Nothing fresh or new, imo.'
Not on console so back to eso
If you're switching to New World from ESO make sure you let it be known and I will unsubscribe from your Channel
Just can't stand the ugly blocky flat design, sci-fi looking graphics and interface of NW. Don't think I'll ever play it. If I don't enjoy looking at the game then it goes straight in the bin. ESO is a step down from Skyrim, but at least they kept some of the medieval design and artwork from the Skyrim engine. Just enough to be esthetically pleasing to look at..
Watched a lot of it on twitch. It seemed like everyone was just running around gathering stuff.
Only reason I won't buy NewWorld…weapons look ridiculously large compared to the character.
I’m glad crafting actually feels worthwhile in New World. I recently picked ESO back up and after 500+ hours in the past couple months, I have yet to find use of the crafting lines other than alchemy and provisioning
Perhaps having an "endless game" is an unrealistic expectation. The problem may be the concept rather than a failure to deliver.
Looks boring
gameplay is fun but i hope they add a story to it.
For me 1st day – its laggy, shuttering while rotating camera.. 2nd and 3rd day – queue for 2-3 hrs 🙁 i uninstalled and raise a ticket for refund.
I almost let the negative comments deter me from getting the game until someone reminded me how much you all hated ESO when it came out and now look at ya'll. Cupping its ballsack. Think I'll follow my heart. Only $40 shrugs and backed by a billion dollar company. I have high hopes for the future.
I am Looking forward to buying this game But me and my friend want to Buy it together is it still worth it?? If it forces you to play solo :O
I've watched so much New World content and my question is still basically unanswered. What are you doing in the game? It seems everyone is "exploring" and gathering in some fashion. But for what? What do you need to gather FOR? What do you need to craft FOR? I don't see any end game stuff or just stuff in general really, as things to actually do other than the PvP contested areas. But that's it. Just really seems like it's going to die incredibly quickly. Sure, it will have a niche player base, but that's where it will stay: Niche. I see it as a game to chill with on the weekend or something, in no capacity could this be a "main game" for me.
I've played about 15 hours.
4 of which was actually gameplay. The rest of the time I've been in queue. Hangs done the worst launch of any game ever.
I will pick this up when it’s fleshed out more
I regret not buying deluxe edition, looked online and upgrading to deluxe isnt possible? Anyone know if this is true, and that u have to flat out rebuy the game within deluxe edition
This game looks… lame. Just doesn’t look good to me. Maybe it’s fun but… idk something just doesn’t appeal to me.
I'm new to MMOs. I've tried a bunch but most of my gaming friends don't play them and solo play can be daunting. Especially when most of these games have been out for so long and have so much content already. It can be very overwhelming to tackle all by yourself. I'm really glad I got New World on launch day! I didn't deal with queue times because I work nights so I played when I got home really early in the morning and the game is amazing in my opinion. Great MMO for solos and beginners too!
I’d have taken shitty sound design and graphics if it meant more time spent on actual content
25h played and I love it! I think it's great 🙂
NW guides when? kek
is the game over hype? or it is just good?
New World First Impressions – Is it worth it? NO!
As someone who plays MMOs mostly with friends I’m so disappointed to hear that quest progress isn’t shared. That’s a no brainer for an MMO. Probably gonna skip this one
I love your content for eso and hope you keep this up
You said it, New World is an exploration game, not really anything else. The world is beautiful, lots and lots of farming nodes, and the combat system is extremely slow and clunky. For example, attacking locks your feet to the ground until the animation is completely finished. So you basically spend the fast majority of combat waiting and waiting for a chance to squeak in an attack between your enemies' attacks, which is really nice for lower-skilled MMO players. I can't see high skilled MMO players really getting far into it though.
I watched some streams of this game and wasn't impressed but bought it because I love MMO's and it's been years since a big one launched. I was immediately hooked 30 mins into actually playing the game and haven't even logged into ESO since. I've done PvE, solo PvP and massive fort battles and there hasn't been lag or proc sets anywhere to be found. It's got a great base to build on over the years. I absolutely love the combat system, it looks slow and clunky watching videos but doesn't feel that way at all actually playing.
The launch for me was also great, I'm also one of the lucky ones I guess. Never have I seen a launch go so smoothly, but others aren't so lucky… and that's where the bad reviews are coming from and it's a shame sich a great game is getting negatively reviewed because of a queue problem
