Comrades, in the latest installment of Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts, we are pleased to unveil the latest addition to our fleet: the new Project 326012 class, designed to replace the fallen Shtandhart with even more guns and Armor. But our celebrations are short-lived as we receive news of the sinking of the Shtandart’s sister ship the Kniaz Dovmont serving with the Pacific Fleet. In a fit of righteous anger, we call upon the battlecruiser Ryazan and her destroyer escorts to exact revenge on the Japanese forces responsible. Follow along as we triumph over the capitalist enemy and honour the memory of our fallen comrades.

Revenge for the Kniaz Dormont
The Battlecruiser Ryazan of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet led a sortie with the Heavy Cruiser Kniaz Dormont and the Destroyers Sheenjek and Konstantin to intercept a convoy of the Recalcitrant Reactionary Imperialist Japanese Empire. A group of 9 transports under the protection of the Battleship Ryujo was caught by our ships.
Unfortunately while maneuvering around the Ryujo to catch the transports the Ryujo got in one lucky hit on the Kniaz Dormont and sank her.
Infuriated but determined to complete their primary mission, the Ryazan and escorts continued to pound the Ryujo from a distance while they closed on the convoy. Once in range they pounded the transports into scrap. Mission complete, the division turned back to confront the Ryujo.
The Ryujo got in one more hit, this time on the Sheenjek, but was not able to sink her. Ordered to retire, the rest of the battle went to the Ryazan and Konstantin. The Battlecruiser blasted the Ryujo with her 310mm guns and the Konstantin finished her with a salvo of 21" torpedoes.
First reports of our losses were 1184 brave Soviet sailors, but rescue operations recovered 215 men of the Kniaz Dormont. Japanese losses were in the order of 1950 sailors and mariners.

Another Brief Encounter
The Dmitrii Donskoi, Heavy Cruiser of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet, reported another sighting of the USS SS-1, a Heavy cruiser of the Recalcitrant Reactionary Imperialist United States of America Navy. The Dmitrii Donskoi was not able to close with the faster ship.

Because of their global interests they are operating 17 task forces.
They are at war with the CCCP, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and China.
Threat Level: Though currently at war with the Soyuz Soviet Socialist Republics, the USN does not seem inclined to make strikes in the Baltic or Black Sea. Most encounters seem to be with traversing the Mediterranean or operating against the Chinese. The USN has an advantage in cruisers but may have a difficult time concentrating them.
Currently the gross domestic product of the United States is $102 Bil., decreasing at a rate of 5.5%.

Currently the Heavy Cruiser Dmitrii Donskoi of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet is on the mission to find and destroy the Little Rock class Heavy Cruiser USS SS-1, operating in the Western Pacific. Reported to be damaged, the Donskoi reported sighting the SS-1 but could not catch her.

The Bureau of Ship Design and Construction has informed the Sub-Committee for Naval Affairs that they have proceeded on the basis or informal discussions in the design and construction of a new class of Heavy Cruiser to replace recent, concerning, losses.
Details or the design have not yet been made public but informal descriptions state that it should be able to close and destroy similar ships.

Pressuring the Austro-Hungarians
The Light Cruiser Comrade General Kornilov, premiere commerce raider of the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet, leading the Destroyers Ipnavik and Filin, encountered the Budapest class heavy cruiser U-3 escorting seven transports. The division moved to bypass the U-3 and attack the convoy but first the Ipnavik was hit, then the Filin. Ordering its escorts to withdraw and distract the U-3, the Comrade General Kornilov proceeded to find and eliminate the convoy.
Unfortunately the Filin was hit again and sunk before the division could withdraw from the heavier ship.
Crew losses for the Soviet Navy was 165, with only two men recovered from the Filin. Losses for the Austro-Hungarian Empire were estimated at 535 sailors and mariners.

Naval Investigation Division Internal Report.
Japanese Superheavy battleship designs are a serious threat to the majority of the fleet. The high angle 300 mm shells can penetrate any deck armor on any ship currently designed at long ranges beyond our own weapons. General advise is to maneuver to throw off targeting and close to abuse the poor accuracy and rate of fire of the weapons. Whenever possible launch torpedoes to force the hostile to turn away and throw off their aim and preferably occlude their forward turrets so less guns are aiming.
Naval Investigation Division put out a request for a design of better armored heavy cruiser and Battlecruiser design to withstand the growing menace of heavy guns, preferably backed up by a torpedo arm to launch at point blank against Turtleback Heavy cruisers crippled but refusing to sink.
The Naval Investigation Division also suggests investigation of the use of high explosives to disable turrets to make point blank torpedo volleys possible.
Word has come in to the Naval Investigation Division about the ordering of a new class of Heavy Cruiser with substandard engine preparation. Requests to the Naval Design Board have suggested previously that all new ships must seek to do 33 knots or more in combat. The engines allocated to the project are of substandard quality from a manufacturer of known low cost components.
Further investigation is being conducted, it would appear back room dealings and possible corruption has occurred in the offices of the Naval Ordinance Divisions Organisation Departments Orders Subdivision.
Members of our Division have made some basic calls to Suppliers Board Recommend service providers and suggest it possible, if expensive, to re-engine this design now under construction with more powerful engines to push performance back to desired levels when the current engines finish their anticipated short service life.
Oh it is good to see my design once again perform most excellently and getting revenge.

Destroyers are not gunboats. They are torpedoboats. Please use them as such. Get close and personal and fling torpedos from close range. Dd are manouvrable so they can dodge torpedos with a bit of micro. And stop setting them to save torpedo's
