What could stop #49ers From Superbowl Victory? #49ers
Larry Krueger Catches up with Grant Cohn to discuss what if anything could prevent the #49ers from going to the superbowl in 2023. The team is on a great run, Brock Purdy is looking tremendous as QB1 lately, but there may be a few things to look out for and Larry & Grant will break those down.

  1. The one guy who dont that much love to me is Jennings. The man moves the chains when we need him to most. He always catches those third down passes that keep us movin.

  2. Willis is the most undrated on D on Offense Juice both I think will go off in the playoffs they play key roles & are totally over looked in games, Willis does all the dirty work that shows up in must win games & Juice is a main key to opposing Defenses in the running game, but he is an after thought in the passing game even though he is completely uncoverable, he is a backbreaker…as for KC they have to prove they can beat Cinci before I start worrying about them.

  3. Duh…another team that plays better, injuries, being over confident, and/or listening to Grant, the self serving, know-it-all journalist with the highest blatantly wrong analysis and recommendations quotient in the business in the business…😂

  4. Been loving Larry since the Gary and Larry days on KNBR. I miss that show and was bummed at Gary’s retirement and the shift of shows when it happened. This is golden content. I called in on that show a few times, loved playing into the energy of the troll Radnich and the straight man Krueg. I also really miss Fitz and Brooks. Those two were my whole work day driving around in the city. Will always fondly remember that era.

  5. Larry has had such a positive influence on Grant. Kinda mellows him out and keeps it focused on the analysis. Grant has a good, snarky sense of humor and it shows through with Larry, but Larry seems to know how to keep the guard rails in a productive way that keeps Grant from going over the top in a way that turns people off. Great content. You guys should do multiple shows a week. Especially during the playoffs.

  6. Grant feels like an outsider to the other media people? He had been around this his entire life. He's the ultimate insider. Just like the trumps. Started the 100 yard dash with a 90 yard head start. Outsider my ass. These people have known him since he's in pampers. Gtfoh.

  7. The common denominator with the past playoff experiences and the lack of offensive production is Jimmy Garoppolo not Kyle Shanahan. You can tell that Kyle has a lot of trust in Brock Purdy with the way he calls the game. You can tell that Kyle did not trust Garoppolo. He had to work around garoppolo's limitations and had to grind through on offense with the running game making them more one-dimensional and easier to defend. My guess is this year we'll see a much more open offense and more big plays and easier wins. Shanahan he's a top-notch offensive mind and he knows what to do. Jimmy Garoppolo does certain things well but they are few. With Brock Purdy he does so much more and you can tell by the way this offense looks and by the plays that Shannon calls that he has so much more confidence in Brock purdy. It's going to be a fun rest of the year

  8. An offense only get so many possessions per game game I seen Kyle at the end of the half being unable to call plays to get the ball down the field to score points the game may be close but Kyle has the last possession in the half instead of trying to score points with that possession he will become extremely conservative and waste the chance to get points it'll be interesting to see a stat on all NFL offenses teams at the end of the half I believe the 49ers will be in the lower echelon

  9. the one time i will mention this guys name.. Grant is a troll of the Niners.. he truly loves to troll the fans to create a name for himself.. it disgust me that he doesnt have the mentality to do his job better than the rest to get a name like DAVID LOMBARDI.. seems like Grant knows he has pissed off many people including players.. peace and love and lets keep it classy

  10. It's kind of funny how you guys talk about 49ers.
You start with "OMG, this maybe legendary team… Blah blah blah", and then you start sliding into dissecting these 1 to 3 plays by each player, or like start talking about 49ers against Chiefs this season, and how Chiefs were able to score so much blah blah blah…
Then you switch to Purdy, and like "oh… I don't know, we haven't seen enough… Playoffs are different, blah blah blah"
Wouldn't it be true that Playoffs game Chiefs vs 49ers (if happens) also an unknown situation? I mean Chiefs are good, but when they played 49ers we were missing like 9 starters. Take 9 startes from Chiefs, and see what happens….
49ers are going to take it all, and Brock won't skip a bit. Watch and learn how to use a "crystal ball" 😆😆😆😆

  11. You guys need to stop with this huff giving up plays stuff.. in 1/4’s coverage the weak side saftey is responsible for the under route… it’s a play design issue… huff is playing his responsibility on those plays.. Gibson has the deep post responsibility most of the time on those plays.

Now some of this might be design because they know huff doesn’t have the speed to carry routes like that down the field? But the only play all season that might have been his fault and I’m not sure what the coverage responsibilities are would be the short corner td last week by Washington. But the way the defense moved on that it does appear that one is on the corner to to me.. it looks like the safety and corner are supposed to hand off zones and the safety is responsible for the flat and corner has the corner route task which does make sense cause then you’re playing underneath with inside leverage vs behind and over the top which in theory gives you a better scheme vs baiting to the corner route and rotating personnel after the read to take it away.. looks more like a zone blitz type look with rotating zone responsibilities between the secondary.
