Don't be so hard on your self, I enjoy your tips and candor
I think that we are our own worst critics a lot of the time. I can't speak for everyone, but it's you – your personality that draws me in. Your photos are amazing, of course, but it's the way I get to sort of go on the journey with you that gets me excited for your videos. You strike me as a genuinely good person and I don't often find that with people.
Also, I think I prefer the moodier, more atmospheric pano between the two you showed.
Enjoyed your time on the island "bad video" and all. It is nice to see you simply do the videos regardless of conditions. This way we get to see them! Thanks for what you do and may 2023 offer you many more opportunities!
I use Ventusky. It's very useful if you're a photographer or videographer.

Of the panos, I like the high contrast one. As to the video content, it’s all good, you make us feel part of the process, you might not think that it’s slick (or whatever) but that makes it more real and certainly why I keep watching.
My preference is for the sunlit pano.

I really don’t see much anything wrong with the videos if anything, the harsh weather and reality of the filming situation, makes everything more intense and brings a viewer to reality of the situation. 👍

Thomas your videos are always genuine. You deal with the juggling act amazingly. What I particularly love is your narration. You are so poetic. Whilst other youtubers come up with ‘awesome’ and ‘epic’ every time you deliver so much more with your eloquence.
Oh, and I should have said, I’m with you and the more atmospheric, misty pano. The lighting in the other is gorgeous but it is split through the middle as it goes from light to shade, which is a distraction.

The video is great man don't second guess yourself! In some ways a slightly less "professional", stabilized etc video gives a better sense of place and conditions, the videos from Madeira have been really successful in this regard!
You clearly have very high standards for your videos, which is why you are so great at what you do. But it must be said, even those you dont feel are your best offer something to your viewership that we keep coming back here for. Happy New Year.
Loved the trees photo. Panos look good too. Yes, always challenging to shoot in extreme bad weather and sometimes you walk away witty an epic photo.

between the two panorama ill prefer the higher contrast image. the moody image didnt hit the mark compared to other great moody images you created imo

i prefer the high contrast pano with the sunlight 🙂 As for the videos and not finding your mojo, i enjoyed the vlog style. Sure, not as much narrative b-roll as your usual productions, but thats fine – the “rough cut to camera” style worked perfectly well. Even with Thor’s arse in the frame ( not a sentence I ever thought Id type!)
Windy…the exact word I was thinking of when watching your video! I like both panos, but I am leaning a bit towards the one with the sun because I love the clouds and the blue of the sky. However, I am always down for a low contrast/more moody photo! Happy New Year!
