As someone who plays in a store that is primarily Marines vs Marines, I'm sooo happy AoC is going. It just ended up being two impenetrable shields bashing each other constantly

Well, with armor of contempt gone(if it really truly is) that means that fire warriors and kroot aren't complete crap against them, even if retaining the mont'ka change, but I'd be lying if I said hearing crisis suits got more expensive didn't hurt, I just now got enough to make a full 6 man squad
As a T'au player, I would like to see point buffs to the bad units in the codex, like stealth suits.

I am curious how much of this ends up in the final version of the update. Space marines I am interested to see what point changes come into play. AoC disappearing means that it is time to dig out all the storm shields again. If flamers end up needing to hit that ruins their damage output and especially their overwatch threat which I would love. Chaos spare marines will be in a weird spot. Terminators getting the double nerf of points and losing AoC might change the army identity away from Death Star. Along with nerfs to the three better legions will force heavy innovation for the next list. Hopefully there is still life in them. Clown invulnerable change would be back breaking. Hopefully it is only points and secondaries that change. Spore mines for tyranids costing points would likely get them removed from list. Likely for the better because those things can get super annoying and deal weirdly high amounts of damage. I feel hopeful about the gsc changes. Bikes being untitle and not the identity is neat and characters not costing 1/4 of your points sounds great! Orcs might be ina really good spot. AoC hurt that book a lot so getting +1 ap on most of their stuff makes them hurt much harder into a lot of factions. Necrons need buffs to help the army play the game not just score points. Hopefully they get a few points cuts in addition to the secondaries nerf.
I play Grey Knights and the trade of AoC for more units is welcome imo.
I rarely get to play, but every time I do I get blown off the table.
And then every time I look Tyranids are getting nerfed.
Yeah, a lot of it is stuff I don't use, or stuff I do know is strong, but they seem to have a real problem with looking at top level play and balancing around that only, and not paying attention to the fact that large chunks of the codexes aren't even touched because things like Sporocyst and Gorgon and like all of the Genestealer upgrades are generally bad.
It's even funnier when spore mines go to costing reinforcement points, but they don't even touch the sporocyst. I know spore mines could be a problem with biovore spam, but it's their fault, they don't know how to balance in the slightest.
Whatever the case, I suspect a problem I'm having with my games is people tending to be very terrain light, maybe I'll try convincing them to put out more terrain so murder balls become less effective.

If you use the code in the back of the codex to get a legit digital copy, is it updated with the daily changes GW makes to units?
These constant rules and rebalancing is such billshit. It's getting so bloated and confusing, to the point where the codexes are useless, you need them plus all these others docs.
They're already talking about 10th and they just finished releasing all the main books now. Haven't even gotten the chapter supplements for Marines yet, doubt we will. It's all just such a mess. Idk how anyone follows along with all of this and is ok with it.
This game is such shit at this point, honestly my friends and I just use homebrew out the ass cause this is just getting ridiculous

I disagree on only using points to stop alpha strike flyers…. Doing it thus way targets the specific way flyers became negative play experiences, and allows them to be written to be good in the way gw originally intended
