We take a selection of track cars from a variety of generations and see how they all compare. Can the modern high tech vehicles stand a chance against the old lightweight monsters ?

I liked the 330, it drove well amongst the modern cars.
All I remember from this was the 288 being a dog, but it was what was left of the dregs of the cars to pick from
Lots of good cars, though I wouldn't bet against the older track cars. Weight, weight, weight, or less of it! Quad exhuast has been done right on a handful of cars, most notably the earlier Zondas, later Corvettes, a few Lambos, and a few others that escapes me. The one Lexus did and that M4 (among Lots of questionable design points…) Not so much!
You can tell this was filmed forever ago because the tracks are decorated in the horizon 1 style
The 360 doing insane things because it has some of the most insane brakes in the game. I've actually had AI driving the 360 bumb and run me before, because it was expecting to brake so damn late.
Very interesting video. Too bad Forza (or any game for that matter) doesn't have the Jag XE Project 8 as that would have fit very well here.
Generally I'm happier when you are at least on a podium but I'm not too sure on this one because I want you to win but the car ๐คฎnope that should be scrapped
21:30 Thank you Alex, very helpful description.
You know. I'm not a fan of the absolutely massive front grille but the bmw. It doesn't look too bad. Especially with all these electrics like the nissan leaf
Am I going crazy
The new M4 might be hideous, but I'd I still take it over any modern electric vehicles…
I think the 4 series looks good irl.
Been rewatching some of the old vids, any chance of doing more point to point races?
Sometimes I think I am the only person in the world who cannot stand the Ferrari 360. I think its an awfully bland car when you compare to its predecessors like the 512 testarossa or 355, and its successor the f430 which are much more lively and attractive vehicles imo.
I wish they would add the original Zonda to this game, with way less power it would make for an interesting platform to build on and i just like more how it looks than the Cinque
That BMW either looks like a beaver or as if it has already crashed into the back of my armoured Range Rover…..๐คฃ
The new 2023 BMW 3.0 CSL has the grille that should be placed on all 3 series and 4 series to remove that awful crap.
Nobody says no to big grilles.
The problem is the absolute lack of good tase, or design to what BMW did with this beaver teeth idea of theirs. I mean, fire that schmuck of a chief designer and all the designers that were involved with these monstrosities. Also the ones in the iX1 and XM projects as well, because they are also carrying on these things without any good design in them.
The new grill on the bmw is so ugly it has retroactively ruined every bmw for me. The m1 is the only one I'm still able to enjoy the looks of, since it doesn't have a noticeable grill on the front.
Normally I root for Alex but when he chooses to assult my eyes with the ugliest car currently on sale in an extra offensive color I find myself rooting for others.
I see Ford V Ferrari in the thumbnail image (the Ferrari 330 P4 )is also from the 1960s
God dammit, the bucktooth M3/M4 has grown on me.. I don't like it because it's 'good looking', I like it because it's quirky and ridiculous..
Do the 'lanes' on the edge of that drag strip track with the dirt and grass have a disadvantage?
Whatever happened to Ninetales? I miss their "1000 mph in a straight line but has to wall ride every turn" builds.
If you think about itโฆ itโs impressive how BMW managed to make such a hideous car.
Was the lead designer a blind meth addict?
So the M4 Is a great Hunt the survivors car ๐ค๐ซถ๐ฟ๐ฅฐ
The problem is that you have sports cars, super cars, race cars, and you and Liam have cars. Although you two are a great control group.
I'm always happy you made another Forza vid. Thank you.
TVRs. Mad lad styling. Big power. Light weight. No ABS or TC makes them an handful to drive. Not surprised at the outcome.
I know I'm the odd one out, but I really like the new M4, M3, etc. They're very unique & I believe there's design cues back to how some of the first BMW's looked.
Ah yes the jag was better, and the jag slightly won out… Yes indeed.
0-99-0 for Alex
I forgot about how bad the rear locking was on the GT40 lol
Were those old cars on new tires? The racing tires from the olden days only had the grip of modern passenger car tires, think Malibu or Taurus. No brakes, no traction control nothing, they would have lost everything. The F40 should have done much better, not lower than 3rd. Its very light, good acceleration, 200 mph car, oldest car on credible performance tires.
Makes me wonder if any of the programmers have ever even drove a car bigger than a Fiat, probably mostly scooter types.
It's a massive shame that they ruined the design of the new m4 so badly because if it looked even slightly better it could go down as one of the greatest m cars ever
That Callaway Sledgehammer reference though… such an awesome car.
"XJ13 might not be the nicest car to drive" – I have to disagree. It's absolutely amazing when you get it right, so satisfying.
Random as hell story time that I'm sharing because I find it humorous and somewhat in place due to the car being in today's field:
When I was a young kid and I played this small 3d blocky game known as Roblox there was a group of games I'd play revolving around cars known as Ultimate Driving…. In said series/group of games which helped me grow into the (what I would say amateur) enthusiast I am; they introduced a Ferrari F40 and I decided to do what would be a trademark for myself in any racing/driving game spanning from Roblox, to NFS, to Forza, to GTA, and any games I take time to play where an F40 is presented:
Painting it a dark metallic blue with a plate reading "BLUEF40"
It has annoyed every single one of my fellow young car enthusiasts (however I'm glad they still accepted me after such an "hellacious sin to a classic Italian super car" and we've grown up into our late teen years laughing and reminiscing of our oddities over the years), and to this day I get the occasional pissed off Italian Stallion enthusiast, however there is the occasional person who finds it just as intriguing as I do.
The "Shockingly Blue F40", as I like to call it, has been a staple of my life for over a decade, and being the odd one out in car meets and among my friends with such an off brand and quirky design choice has given me plenty of smiles, laughs, and extremely good memories that I'm glad to share to some strangers over the internet who share a very strong and similar passion to vehicles.
Thank you for your time of reading such a random ramble and nostalgia trip for myself, and you all have a swaggy remainder of your day.
๐๐๐
Do more of these! Especially the drag race at the end please.. absolutely brilliant
Whatever happened to survive the hunt
I really like the new BMW M4โs look ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ bored of people calling it ugly tbh, it looks beefy af
Old but gold baby!!!!
How do you get in one of these lobbies with FailRace?
https://youtu.be/hwW3mu5PMIA
you should check out this list of coming racing Games, one of them is Pacific Race๐ฝ which looks like an epic survival game like that train game you played awhile back but with a car.
And I can't wait to see what shenanigans you get into in GTA6 in the future. Keep it up๐
Sorry but that M4 is not ugly, it even looks better than boring previous models.
2022 series 7 however is indeed hideous.
The looks of the new 4-series have grown on me since it was first revealed. The grille definitely makes a lot more visual sense on the M cars than the lesser models, but either way I don't think it's as sinfully ugly as people make it out to be. I actually saw an i4 M earlier today (grey & black, as they all seem to be these days) and thought it was quite handsome, in its way. I think the grille being tall & narrow allows for a more shark-like front end like older BMWs had, which is no bad thing.
