With that said however, they have a tendency to want to attack cells and change life to a way that benefits them, and not so much anything it infects. on the moon Calisto, there appears that ancient life at one point, evolved there. However, once the moons oceans were infected with a mystery biophage, things took a turn towards rapid evolution. Something I think could be cool for Roanoke to theorize about is actually the opposite of all these fictional super viruses: characters that have pretty much complete immunity to all disease.
For instance, in the comics Hulk's immune system is so strong he had zero fear in handling a bleeding person who was known to have AIDS. And while I'm sure unraveling the biological implications of Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool, etc's healing factors and immune systems is probably a whole can of worms, I guess my main curiosity after all this explanation of how viruses invade cells is how a cell could theoretically be super charged to be 100% impervious to ALL invaders or how an immune system could have such an iron grip over what material comes in and is allowed to persist.

Funny enough, I've come to realize my immune system suffered during last two years. I lost my job (which was a whiles away from where I lived) back in 2020, right at the start of the year (A week after my birthday. Helluva start to the year) and because of the location I was in, was unable to really find work up until some friends snatched me up and moved me cross country (Where I now have a job, and am working on rebuilding my life) BUT! I've noticed I'm constantly getting sick now. My once Iron clad immune system crumbled to dust with basically 2 years of inactivity. At least, I'm assuming the essentially 2 year isolation period is the cause. But I ain't a scientist/doctor. I'm probably way off the bloody mark.
