  1. All of that young talent on the inside of this defensive line and they can't man their assignments? Been a position of need for this team since Hatcher went to Washington and really it wasn't a super bright spot while he was here.

  2. Fish, you have enough "skins on the wall", to know that "smart" doesn't necessarily lead to success. Has KM been "successful", yes, maybe, but most fans, maybe even you would state or ask, "Define success?" In my viewpoint, success for a still young coordinator would be a year-over-year improvement. Improvement of course is also subject to the players the FO signs, with or without KM's "buy-in" and just as importantly, the scheme that the OC uses to make use of the talent (or lack of talent) that one has. I think that the label of "genius" that was being placed on KM early in his first/second year no longer applies and now, given that DC's know his tendencies, he has been slow to adapt. My concern is that "slowness" either shows a lack of awareness of the other team's strengths or weaknesses and or of his players or his unwillingness or is incapable of reigning in some of his offensive players' "worst" tendencies. I sometimes think, regardless of what one reads or hears in the media about this great relationship between Dak and KM, that Dak would be better served if had an OC that was "not so close" to him as the whole KM and Dak relationship started, e.g., teammates with KM as the second string QB and then Dak taking over. I do think that the OC and QB of a team should at least "see eye to eye" and be able to communicate with each other "effectively", however, in my opinion, the OC has to be able to "lay down the hammer" on the QB. I am not sure that KM can do that! I am thinking more about the interceptions or making the wrong reads….I also think that the OC should also be able to reach out (not saying he doesn't, but there were miscommunication gaps between the WRs and QB, which IMO halfway through the season were unacceptable) to, WRs, TEs, OL coaches, and position coaches to minimize mistakes and miscommunication.

  3. Jerry was referring to the immediate future because he thinks we’re going to the Super Bowl, based on the way he’s seen this team play. He still sees the team that overcame an injury to their starting QB and the Defense stepped up, BIG TIME. He still sees the team that beat Minnesota. Unfortunately, our Defense is either injured or sick. I just don’t see our Defense helping out Offense, who will have a hard time against the Eagles, IMO. We just can’t stop the run vs a good team OR the pass, anymore.
