‘General Hospital’ star Sonya Eddy has died. She was 55. The actress was most known for her portrayal of Epiphany on the soap opera. In a tribute on Instagram Tuesday, Sonya’s friend and fellow actress, Octavia Spencer, revealed she died Monday night.

The hospital released her too early after having surgery. If she was kept longer in the hospital and been monitored, she would've survived.
