  1. To make the water level constant, I believe the only way would be to use a pump (or multiple depending on how much water is inflowing) with the nozzle just ending above where you want the level to be. Not sure where you could hide one though – maybe earlier in the canal have the pumps and then channel the water under paths to the reservoir? Could work I think.

    Ah, actually just saw another comment but I don't know if it could be implemented, which is to bury a dam block (or multiple depending) right at where you want the water level to be – the problem I see with this is that the water level would be higher on the inside of the reservoir than the outside

  2. If you pause a building that hasn't finished being built yet, they will stop building it and you can restart it when you need and you wont lose all the building material.

  3. In the begining you didn’t have to round as you say yo get the power up if you just rotate and place the up power line one block closer to your castle you can then just 90 into the center power line you’re going to instal

  4. Easiest way to keep the water level stable is to make it connected to a dam at that height out of the map.
    Another option is putting a water pump at that level. So the exit of the pump is at that level. This way it stops when it reaches full (I think) This does require no natural flow otherwise the pump would overflow (meaning a high pump dumping water into a lower reservoir)

  5. [Issue with the reservoir plus solution to 4 water high problem]
    Since the reservoir is walled off, your water recycling system will stop working (reservoir is drained by pumps, water flows to rest of map, reservoir cannot refill during dry season + water levels too high for rest of map, waterflow stops altogether for dry season, no water up to beaver castle)
    The solution to this, and to ensure that water for the rest of the map stays at 4, is ironically another set of pumps, whose bottom is just above 4, draining water levels for the rest of the map into the reservoir if they ever get above 4

  6. I think if you curve the canal instead of making it a 90° turn it would be better looking.
    And you can make the reservoir wall 3 wide and have a 1 tile deep canal on top of it with some pumps to create water failing in the main river and even decorate the outer tile ot the wall, i think that would be kinda nice.
