  1. A pet is not necessarily the best holiday 'gift'. This is a serious decision. Also, please consider adopting an adult or senior companion animal. Shelters are literally overflowing with them, through no fault of the animals. Stephen, please start featuring adult and senior dogs! #AdoptDontShop #AdoptASenior πŸ™β€οΈπŸΎ

  2. A friend's son in law just had his face ripped off by their beloved dog. They had spent thousands on the dog just him to keep him alive. They had him for more than 2 years.

I adopted a dog once. He saved my life. He was not easy. He never bit anybody.

  3. Our dogs are our kids. We used to have 7 now sadly only 4 becos of age and illness. It's heartbreaking πŸ’” to lose a pet. My family are suckers for unwanted dogs. Please put a pup 🐢 in your lives. You're never gonna regret it. Dogs πŸ• love you unconditionally. Even if your hair is grey and your face has more wrinkles than a packet of crinkle cut chips. They'll be your guardians, companions and agree with every word you say to them. Woof.

  4. Colbert just really needs to stop with the adopt-a- puppy bullshit, everyone wants puppies but the hardest dogs to get adopted are Senior dogs so why don't you try focusing your time, money, and energy on helping to adopt older dogs. Are you people on The Colbert Show effing morons or what?

  5. PS Anderson Cooper is okay in my book but that guy Andy Cohen is just one of the biggest douchebags I've ever seen on TV, and I think he's personally responsible for that "real housewives" garbage which must be the worst kind of television show in history

  6. All my pets have been rescues or wanderers who chose me to take care of and watch over. I had a dog when I was 12 that decided to come to my house and watch over me. He was UUUGGGGLLLYYYY! He had reddish brown mottled fur that made him look like a walking rock – so, of course, I called him Rocky. He would follow me everywhere if he could manage it. He had a bad habit of chasing cars that I could not break him of. I cried so hard the day he got purposefully run over by a dump truck. He followed me to my babysitting job. When he got hit he lay along side the street dying and we all cried so much. There was nothing that could have been done for him. Through the years there have been a lot of dogs and cats. Right now I take care of my grand-doggo when my son is at work.
