I played through all of elden ring and still dont understand even half of what's going on, to each their own but I personally dont think elden should win the story award. People glorify just a good game as if Jesus himself returned to earth. Elden does some things phenomenally while others not so much yet fanboys put fingers in their ears close their eyes and start yelling how horny they are for elden
Epic intro!!!
i love those intros !
The game literally tells us to take breaks.
Always has <3
This is unexpected
The anomaly level grinds are too insane considering there's no cool cosmetic or anything In between the arduous grind between each anomaly rank threshold to unlock each tier of curios crafting. Like going from 141 to 181 is no joke.
I have to take a moment to appreciate Ruri and Gaijin for making this podcast. I've been watching since episode 1. I have to say, the 3rd fleet podcast is one of the most unifying things any gaming community has seen in an age where toxic gaming communities are the norm.
Gaijin Hunter is such an integral part of MH that he's been shouted out in MH games. One that i've seen personally is in MHGU's hub quest counter. The quest receptionist mentions him as "that foreign hunter guy who has more info". Gaijin is transliterated as "Foreign" from Japanese.
Just a neat nugget of info for all the hunters coming in post-world.
LESSGO ANOTHER 3RD FLEET PODCAST
Eu ainda fiquei pior que tu amigo , tive de ir de urgência para o hospital com uma infeção viral nos pulmões.
I'll watch this after TGA
The grind would feel far more rewarding and worth it if, augments weren't RNG. Feels extremely terrible grinding for hours, just for crap RNG augments. Feels so unfun and boring clicking reroll thousands of times.
now the question is: is MH6 going to be next gen only? because if they released a 30FPS version for XBONE and PS4, not only will it be able to run good enough on the Steam Deck and lower end PCs, but maybe even on Nintendo's next system.
I'm with Gaijin on the time it takes to grind. I'm a single dad so I don't have all the time in the world to play, so the fact that they keep raising the MR requirement to fight certain monsters like the new risen elders really makes me not want to come back. I'm only around MR 80 and you need MR 140 to fight just Risen Teostra, I just don't have that kind of time or energy to grind that out. On top of that, Rise isn't the only game I like to play, and I can put that time playing something else that doesn't feel like a chore. I hate to say it cuz I've been playing monster hunter for nearly 2 decades now, but I think I'm gonna have to take a step back from this one until they hopefully lower the requirements later on in a patch or something. Even Fatalis in Iceborne only need MR 100. 140 is just ridiculous.
Honestly if they made a second expansion to rise to continue the game further I’d preorder that so fast 😂 just saying. I’m enjoying this title in the series that much.
People complain rise there no endgame no content …. Capcom :
Are You Not Entertained?
Playing sunbreak on switch with my sons, and we only play a few hours on the weekend, so anomalies is just a dip for us, we're working towards the new magnamalo, but we're hoping we can get to the risens afterwards and have a chance.
A potential answer to people finding certain monsters too easy, and a lot of the complaints that base rise got about people finding it too easy.
Adding a completely optional quest modifier for single player quests when you start them, but it lacks any additional rewards such that newer players are not tempted to use it.
The version of this I would like, would do this:
Speeds up monsters, slightly increases their health, attack and part durability. Gives monsters a timer between being staggered so they can not be constantly staggered.
Makes all monster attacks have a minimum damage value that it must at least be able to do regardless of your armour.
When you are hit with an attack you get a temporary debuff that increases all damage that would be dealt to you, including damage that is at the minimum damage value.
If the game normally allows restocking at camp, this would also disable it, otherwise you can engage with all other mechanics such as meals and wearing good armour.
Many people recommend that if you have a problem with monster hunter difficulty being too easy you should not wear armour or not engage with systems like palicos and food, but pushing threw difficulty and using everything available to you is part of the fun. Plus being one hit kill is not fun, you have to go threw a lot of effort to make monsters kill you in two to three hits but not have any moves that one hit kill you.
I also don't think this should be too difficult to implement, we know that they have similar dials that they can spin to make event quests, crown monsters and even different rank monsters.
The fact that this only works on single player is also somewhat alleviated by having followers as an option to make these quests feel like the multiplayer quests that can not be changed into this mode.
I did a reddit poll on the monster hunter subreddit, that got 154 votes and the results came in with almost a fifth of the voters would like the feature in this form, and more then a fifth would use it if the details were slightly different. Both results were honestly a large percentage of yes admittedly a small and biased population(especially considering that not only is this people that use that forum but also are willing to vote on), but if this wouldn't take too much work to implement I think it would be very useful. It is worth mentioning that this poll was before followers were allowed on normal quests, I think the results would be slightly higher now.
Most preservations are basically already done by piracy.
I'm both excited and fearful of the next TU, because I know they'll keep raising the anomaly level. Wouldn't surprisme if we get to lvl 500 by the last update.
I had so many ps4 save files that I could upload to the cloud to then use it on the ps5 version….. Would be really sad if they don't do it for Monster Hunter!
Sony gets worse: my PSN account is from the UK but I live in Holland (moved in 2006). I bought Horizon: Zero Dawn on the PSN and got about 70% through it. Then I bought the disk version here in Holland (including the DLC). My save does not work with that version because it's "a different SKU".
Followers are imo a good thing on Switch because the internet isn't good.
Anomaly and Master Rank Grind aren't too much. They should stay on Anomaly Rank 200 as maximum. But they should add secretly new Elders around MR 200+ to see new monsters even in the late game. Also a last secret Siege Quest at MR 300 which gives longtime players a new challenge in the endgame.
Bold statement saying you can't trust journalists to make a decision based on how gamers feel. I loved Elden Ring but I prefer the narrative and delivery far more than Elden Ring.
Ragnarok is my goty. It's all opinions and just cause you FEEL strongly about something doesn't make it so for everyone.
Chaotic Gore set is still called Nephilim but your character has to be female.
World and Iceborne really do hit different
I really like Rise but I'm so conflicted right now.
I want the game to be hard, but I also want to raise my anomaly rank to access harder quests, I want the materials, I don't want the hunts to last too long and I don't want my restrictions to penalize my buddies when playing online.
At first I liked having choices, but right now, between pets, followers, qurious crafting, refills, mounting, spiritbirds and new broken armor skills, I find difficult to make the choices to make my hunts feel balanced and satisfying.
I just wish the game gave us less of those cheap tools, I would prefer them not being there instead of having to choose (or fight the temptation) to use them.
That intro was absolutely fantastic! Wonderful job, I got so hyped and excited.
I think the reason they have the split releases for Rise and Sunbreak for the new releases is so they limit the stress on the development team for the next few title updates through spring. They would only have to worry about patching the two current Sunbreak versions and then package it all together in one drop for the Xbox/PlayStation versions after all the bug fixes and implementations. This would reduce the strain on the development team to ensure the quality stays the same with each update and then worry about the additional console versions. Maybe I don’t know enough but it kind of makes sense 🤷🏻♂️
A friend and I are starting a new YouTube channel, I'll send the link since that video of what to do in Rise is our first one.
Love you guys THIRD FLEET LET'S GO
followers should increase the difficulty like any other hunter.
Although I Agree that the grind is too much for experience hunters, new players will take that long, not only to understand the game but to grow the experience to handle higher rank monsters, and getting better gear level by level instead of us veterans that we use the first G rank available and survive until the endgame with it. love you guys
I have a system that makes followers a lot of fun for me, and that's 1 follower per quest and I can't use the same one 2 hunts in a row.
Elden Ring's story is told to much through items and needs to be pieced together lake all of FS games, it's good once you can get it all but my god for some they need a visit to the wiki and a YouTube video to know what's going on lol. GoW won for me because it hit on so many moments and combined with some of the best char's in the series just told a better story(and it's lore is just more interesting imo).
