You missed an even bigger story about twins swapped at birth. There were the two pairs of twin boys in Colombia who only discovered by chance when they were 25 that they had identical twins. There’s also the story of Three Perfect Strangers, the identical triplets from New York. In fact you could probably do a whole Top Tenz on such stories.

I feel for the guy with the car. I forgot I had my car in my garage for 2 years while I was finishing my BS in physics. I lived next to campus so did not need to drive (and the bus route was awesome and I had a bus stop right outside my door with a free bus pass from my college that got me anywhere I needed to go). My brain was so deep in the textbooks that as they say, out of sight out of mind. I didn't remember I had a car until I found the keys a few months before graduating as I was starting to clean out my stuff to get ready to move on to grad school. Absent minded physics people are real and I am living proof 😀

An even weirder guitar story … Peter Frampton's Les Paul … the one on the cover of Frampton Comes Alive.
After a gig in Central America, it was placed along with all the other gear on a cargo plane headed for the next gig. The plane crashed on takeoff in a fiery wreck … people died. All the gear was ashes.
But … was it.
The lightly singed Les Paul showed up in a pawn shop decades later. It turns out someone at the plane crash site recovered the guitar from the wreckage and sold it.
Some fan recognized it and alerted Frampton, who then contacted the pawn shop owner and convinced him to return the guitar.
Then off to Gibson, who's experts restored the Les Paul back to it's pre-loss condition. I saw Frampton a couple of years ago in Dallas, and that Les Paul sounded great!
