Story #1: That judge was wrong in his ruling. That woman should have been jailed. She attacked OP with a lethal weapon. The woman went into anaphylactic shock! The attacker then stopped her from getting the proper treatment in time! That is attempted murder, not assault and battery. At absolute minimum, it would have to be assault and battery with a lethal weapon! However, attempted murder, manslaughter, would be warranted. If OP had died, the charge would have been at least Manslaughter, so why not the "attempted" version?

I hate the Daughters of the Confederacy, they've done so much damage to our country and almost no one even knows about them or how much they've poisoned our country.
Also, hanging the opposition flag on the doorstep of their enemy is only a reasonable move if you're bulletproof. I'd classify it under the "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" category of things. I certainly wouldn't do it. No feeling of righteous pride is worth dying for.
History is history even if we agree with it or not. What happens when we try to obliterate or change history? I am 50% Native American and according to some I should be offended by so much. But guess what? Being offended by something is a personal choice.
That first Karen should've been jailed for attempted murder.

That stupid, evil monster in the first story needs to be locked up for a long, long time (hopefully life)!
Instead of a year of community service it should be 10+ years in prison with no chance of parole after getting out it should be another 10+ years of supervised probation and OP getting a restraining order on the Karen.
There is a plaque on a building (university?) in Illinois stating among other things that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat. Apparently they forgot to actually look in a history book.

That neighbor is beyond a complete nightmare. She could have killed OP with that cat. Just because she didn’t believe allergies weren’t real doesn’t make it so. The neighbor should have gotten a year in jail instead of community service. Doing what she did could be considered attempted murder. If OP couldn’t have gotten to her EPI Pen or had forgotten it and the ambulance hadn’t arrived on time she would have died. Beliefs are not an excuse for what she did.
Allergy story: I don't believe the Karen was given the correct charges or punishment, but at least she now has a police record and had to make good on OP's medical bills. Not the least of which are the epi pens. They are normally only sold in pairs, are only good for one year, and run about $700 for a pair of them.
Racist plaque story: Personally, I would have preferred to have the plaque replaced with one that gave the entire story. Bun contrary to modern opinion, The Civil War was not (primarily) about slavery, it was about State's Rights vs Federal centralized government. The vast majority of the soldiers that fought for the Confederacy did not own slaves. They were fighting for a way of life they believed a heavily centralized government would endanger. But there was plenty of wrongdoing on both sides to go around. I am very much against racism, but if we are to learn anything from history, it needs to be accurately reported and understood.
An Epi pen is a one use item. The price of one is staggering.

The cat allergy one. I'd not only called 911, have her arrested & go to the ER. Karen can face charges for assault as well as possibly charged with attempted murder.
I'd file a complaint against that moronic Judge as well.
