I looked through their dev diary on their discord server and it looks pretty good so far. I'm excited for this game to come out cause all the cosy witchy content is the type of stuff I've wanted for years, and as long as the team is passionate about making the game well I'll probably enjoy it
Thank you so much for finding these Kickstarters and sharing them with us! Breeding chickens and farm animals sounds SUPER RAD and genetics were always a favorite mechanic of mine 🙂

thanks for the review! I'm curious about it, about where it's going to go. 23$ CAD seems okay! I'm excited to see the game play and learn more about the characters. Rare though that newers farming games impose the main character vs the player choosing the name and physicall attributes.

I do love farm sims.
I'm just a little tired of so many doing the ultra generic "witch" theme.
I think that one you covered about "the secrets of the universe" seemed to be more interesting cause it didn't say "magic", nor did it aim for that but instead took on death themes and spiritual experiences as a core. I don't know how religious or not it may go, but that alone made it interesting compared to other games. Sounded like it may have more power and presence than just a generic "witch" without any real pagan culture or insight attached. Almost like a Hallown version of a witch, not anything meaningful or interesting.
I'm just…bored with that entire theme.
A straight laced farm sim never bores me because the focus isn't the theme typically…but I've rarely seen anything new or worth while with a witch theme, aside from the non-farm sim the wytchwood. Which was a specific story about a specific witch done really well.
Regardless, I'll check it out cause I'm a farm sim simp.
Ppl need to actually put some gameplay footage on their Kickstarter campaigns it's always a bit worrying if they only show a pretty trailer and concept art
They also didn't mention what the money was for. Like you said 15k isn't even one month's salary for a team of 16ppl so I assume they want to use the money to hire freelancers for certain things but it would be better to actually mention that for transparency
The fact that they're part of a bigger company that has already released a game is definitely a good thing tho

This game looks like it's going to be really beautiful, but like you I'm a bit cautious at the lack of gameplay footage. I hope before the end of the KS they can post a video showcasing some gameplay. I really hope it's going to be a good one, in my eyes it has lots of potential !

Wow… this game looks neat.
It's a hybrid of farm sim and magic sim.
I like it. A lot of witch games with farm sim elements focus pretty hard on the farm sim part. Only a rare few focus on the magic part.
I hope this sim has a healthy balance of both, and is truly magical.
