  1. No. Narration is not talking with oddball inflections that make you sound like you’ve had a stroke. You’ve badly misinterpreted the good advice of speaking bright and clearly. Your contnent is verging on the unwatchable with the moronic inflections you employ throughout every sentence.

By the way, you are giving (someone else’s) public speaking advice to a barrister. Well. Done. You. At no point in either of my comments were I acting from the point of ignorance. Unlike one of us. You sound ridiculous. If you would like to prevent that, just talk as you would say, if you were in court. Normally, but clearly, without dropping the usually-slurred letters in common words. This issue has got nothing to do with public speaking and everything to do with you sounding like you’re being operated on by a clumsy surgeon. Please don’t give your intelligence too much credit simply because you’ve deigned to share your infinite brilliance with the world. Far too many YouTube content creators allow themselves fall into the trap of believing that they are now above learning or critical comment. Those in such a position are commonly the most needy. Realise you’ve been making a fool of yourself for no good reason and adjust. Your subscribers will thank you and your ratings will increase.

  2. You're like my science asmr channel. Seriously though John I really appreciate your content. It's shameful that you're a better source of info than mainstream media.

  3. I always love seeing this type of video from you because I know it's not going to be some sort of silly clickbait or a list full of mostly-made-up stories, but verifiable and real neat little oddities.

  4. Blue whale sonar signals can travel at least 1600 km in oceans.
The humpback whale can sent signal across oceans – 10,000 km at least.
The speed of sound in water is almost 5 times greater than the speed of sound in air. (1500 m/s in water compared to 340 m/s in air)
Can transverse the pacific in a couple of hours – Mach 5

  5. The prevalence of bioluminescence in the oceans is a pretty big strike against Dark Forest theory. It goes to show how pointless that strategy is, because by the time you're intelligent enough to even consider it it's already too late. Your biome and indeed your planet is already lit up, you can't hide.

  6. Tír na nÓg was an enchanted island off the west coast of Ireland It was home to the Tuatha de Dannan, gods/goddesses who ruled Ireland, Fata Morgana I'm gonna guess. but still a beautiful myth/legend.

  7. I think Flat Earthers would say Antarctica is the 'biggest' problem! LOL 🙂 The international space station will crash in the remotest part of the sea on Earth in 2031? How convenient Like noone will actually witness it… Conspiracy Theorists love all this! HEHEHE!

  8. Point Nemo! What an interesting concept to extend into space or time… what would a Point Nemo civilization be like, removed in time or space from the influence of others? Or the opposite? What would we be like in a pantheon of civilizations? Probably not much different as we seem able to ignore our own historic and cultural diversity.

  9. John the quality of your audience is a reflection of the SCIENCE. Some of the others out there, I'm sure you've noticed, get comments that really make me worried about our future. You attract the attention of interesting and intelligent people. I'm done making comments at stupid people , I suppose I needed to get through that. Now I can read comments only of enlightened persons and maybe like minded. Does that make me closed?

  10. Between oceans, and the super interesting creatures in the micro world, there is still so many interesting things on Earth. Just imagine how many awesome discoveries might be out in space.

  11. Hi John. I love Cody's alternate history hub, but I'd love to hear your perspective of a more grounded version of alternate history. You seem to be very knowledgeable on history. History is one of my favorite subjects, a long with space geology and astronomy.
