  1. The DLC is called Dead Space 2: Severed.

You play as Gabe Weller, a security guard for Titan Station and one of the survivors of the USG Ishimura incident. It takes place during the outbreak of the Sprawl and just before Isaac wakes up from his stasis sleep.

  2. 5:26 TECHNICALLY incorrect. While the intention is that this is supposed to be blood, blood does not illuminate unless sprayed with Luminol. So, either every deck was flooded with Luminol OR those are other bodily fluids.

  3. I think if they remake this game, Isaac should act way more annoyed. Because as is, it does feel a bit like, "Ooooh! You're so terrible! You should feel bad! You let Niccole die!"
But if Isaac calls the Marker out on its BS, that'll make sure we hate the Marker and not the game. Like Isaac is aware there was nothing he could've done to save Niccole, but the Marker hasn't figured out a plan B to keep him from destroying it so it just keeps going with plan A, which is only making Isaac want to destroy it more.

As is, you can view it that way already. Notice how the Marker initially tries to guilt trip him with some sad and somber visions of Niccole, but then when that doesn't work it gets angry and continues to try an guilt trip him, but by taunting Isaac as a furious ghost of her. The closer Isaac gets, the more afraid and frustrated the Marker gets.

It's kinda funny. The Marker is so pissed off that it tries to turn the game into a Fallout New Vegas mod.

  4. Time for another fun fact! Arriving at the mines after the Ishimura level, you can find an audio log by the floating body of a female which the log itself seems to imply is the character of Vandal, a.k.a. Karrie Norton, the main playable protagonist from the now-unplayable Dead Space mobile game that released alongside DS2. Vandal was actually unintentionally responsible for the Necromorph outbreak on the Sprawl in the first place after commiting acts of sabotage across the station's power grid on behalf of the Church of Unitology while being kept in the dark by her contacts on what would be unleashed as a result of her actions. She worked with Tiedmann to redeem herself once the Church left her for dead and even prevented a reactor meltdown from atomizing the Sprawl. By the very end of the game, Vandal's fate is left unknown but considering the final shot of the mobile game is her helmet laying by a trail of blood and the audio logs found throughout the mines here seem to hint at a not-so-happily ever after for her, I think it's safe to say she peaced out to the big White Marker in the sky.

  5. interesting note is that the footsteps in the blacklights are implied to be isaacs footprints from dead space 1 as they would be the most recent and the design of the foot prints looking more like a boot rather than a civilian shoe. Dead Space 2: Severed is the dlc iirc. its a continuation of Dead Space: Extraction where it shows what happened to the other aegis 7 survivors who also ended up on the sprawl.

  6. I love the blacklight on the medical deck of the Ishimura. Most of the ship is scrubbed clean and clearly being refurbished to some extent, but you get to the medical deck and you can tell the cleanup crew looked at that shit and said, "Yeah, this is gonna take a WHILE."

  7. I will always find it funny when Mike and Zach talk over Nicole's speeches just to prove how unaffected they are by her BS. makes me like to imagine shes getting more and more angry at being ignored by two people shes supposed to be scaring and she just sucks at her job.

like "goddamn it you morons pay attention to me….I AM SCARY" and mike and zach are just not giving her the time of day LOL.

  8. Nicoles nagging never really got on my nerves as it's supposed to be self-internalized. Isaac is having these depressive and self-deprecative thoughts. This is directed at Isaac solely and not the player unlike the frontier which tried to be Spec Ops which itself is a good idea okay execution.

  9. How exactly has stros survived up to this point? He doesn't have any armor, the closest thing to a weapon he has is, maybe a screwdriver (which we don't know how long he had), and he's not exactly the most stealthy person in the game. Unless the necromorphs work by World War Z zombie rules, and the marker and necromorphs don't want to be near stros's brand of crazy, else they get infected.

  10. You can do a no stasis run if you use the ripper. I normally rock the plasma cutter and ripper. Cutter to take out from a far and ripper for close range. The small swarm guys don't stand a change against it. I also take the contact beam just to get the ammo to sell.
