3. This game is ruined by the incredibly childish dialogue. It’s like a teenager wrote it. Incessant unnecessary cursing, cowboys that talk like present day college protesters. With a dash of woke elements this game quickly became a regrettable purchase. Trash.

9. Played this game for around 10 hours now. Fun as hell. Played it on hard and while I do find some issues with some enemy designs and balancing issues, it's an issue that isn't really that big of a deal. Also this game is punishing as hell in hard mode. I don't think every game should innovate in order to grab your attentions. Look at Ghost of Tsushima or HFW, they're great games that did their intended formula really well. Evil West is one of the best 3rd person shooter linear action games I have ever played. Right up there with Gears of War and Max Payne. Nowadays, skill trees in linear games are quite boring (except for GOW). But this game's skill tree is always interesting and they always add new moves and not simply "+2% damage to your gun". Definitely in my top 10 games this year, had a lot of fun. 8/10 for me

16. I just bought this on Steam for the sole purpose of to play something new and fun. Haven't installed it yet but from this review it sounds like it's exactly that, so I may have to jump into it very soon.

18. On my second playthrough now on Evil difficulty (the hardest) and its pretty badarse on that difficulty. Some sections feel like it's on normal while other sections feel like extra hardest. I'm enjoying the difficulty. Great game, an 8.5/10 from me.

20. This game is mediocre at best for anyone looking for a good narrative and fun gameplay. The only good thing about it is the setting – some interesting comic-book-worthy ideas that might remind you of The Order 1886. Other than that, the game is pretty sloppy in almost every aspect: the combat gets boring after the first 2-3 hrs in, the level design is very basic and the art style doesn't help it, the presentation is bad even by the AA standards (seriously, those cutscenes are quite something in a bad way)… the list goes on.

21. Got this game and do not regret it. Having seen all of his moves and perks, I can confidently say Jesse Rentier is going to be a DLC character in a future MK game 😂

23. Thank you your actual HONESTY in your recent article. So called "journalists" have become PROPAGANDISTS in the past 10 or so years. That includes game reviews and movie "reviews" which have become nothing more than ideology reviews. Honesty is a very missed part of journalism ,one side, the left have perfected the art of the LIE. Evil West is awesome and I expect many communist "journalists" to hate on the game for the obvious racism they push as "normal". Cultural Marxism is a very real thing, and it is the ideology they worship.

30. Skill Up's is one of the few critics that actually understands the combat system and describes it accurately, I had such a blast with it.

31. I've seen a lot of people comparing this game to God of War, but to me it's more like Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine. The 50/50 blend of melee combat mixed with guns just reminded me of that title more.

40. Evil West is a solid 3/5 for me, with DMCV being my personal standard of 5/5 with these types of games.
    It's just balls-to-the-walls corny action fun and i'm all for it!

    Really reminds me of the PS2 classic Godhand… Similar vibes.

42. Tried it. It is beyond awful. It is FAR from being old school. It is the most handholdy STUPID game I've ever played.

    Also what on earth is this video in general? The game is linear, its graphics are BAD for a linear game with very small levels. PC will blow it away and consoles OBVIOUSLY will have problems. WTF are you wondering about. WTF is surprising you? Why are you so fucking surprised that a game without ray tracing runs at 60 at 4k? Why you, as a game journalist, cant tell if a game has objectively good graphics? Why do I know more than you about these things in the first place>? Isn't that YOUR job?

    And last but not least: Why are you recommending this? It is a 50 $ 10 hour game. Are you for real right now? Your job is to prevent us from wasting money, not promote crap.
