7 Games That Rewarded You For Doing the Right Thing

Some games want to specifically reward for doing the right thing, and go out of their way to give you cool bonuses for being the good guy when you could just as easily have been kicking unconscious guards into the sea. Watch on for seven games that actually do reward you for good behaviour and subscribe for a video like this every Thursday from Outside Xbox!

  1. Basically any game with a morality system rewards you for doing the right thing. In Dishonored your allies will react better if you do the right thing, you face fewer weepers later in the game, and rats are not as bad.

  2. Dishonored Series – The Good Ending needs you to NOT kill people. That includes the targets you're being sent to assassinate. But… there are MUILTIPLE ways of getting rid of a target, and with each target there is at least one "Non-Violent" way of ending someone. Such as branding a person a heretic so they become a social pariah and later on catch the plague and live in a plague pit… and selling a woman off to a creepy suitor who will make her disappear for all time, to cutting off someone's tongue and selling him to a pit boss to go work in a salt mine for the rest of his life.

Metro Series – The Good Ending needs you to avoid killing people, and to do as many good deeds as possible.

  3. Since we're bringing up dogs so much, I totally missed the dog, and Qunari at the beginning of the first dragon age game just because I was so hyper focused on the main story quest. I don't know how I missed a giant man in a cage but I did.

  4. Hey I got something for being a bad person or horrible person or do horrible things list

(Shadow of war. In this game you can do to ork chiefs that's worse then death. Shaming. Doing it once or twice is bad enough, being looked down by your own kind. But If you do it to them to often they will become deranged and go mad forever

  5. I never shoot anyone in the back for convenience. New Vegas 😅 Oh yeah I owe Harland an apology 😅maybe several, but sniping him from his perch is so much easier than sneaking past nightkin in narrow tunnels.

  6. I know this doesnt "count" but it's kinda funny in ffx u get an achievement 'do the right thing' just by playing the game and doing the stuff u basically have to do in order to move forward near the beginning of the game.

  7. II'd love to see a video about how situations in computer games have permanently changed your playstyle.

I always wanted to play a good hero who solves the world's problems. That changed after the Witcher 3, especially in the mission where you have to sacrifice either children or a whole village. This showed me that purely good solutions are rather boring and easily forgotten, but the quests where you sit in front of the screen for 30 minutes because you weigh the pros and cons of your decision stay with you forever.
Now I really like to play Antiheros in a moral gray area.
