So I got a question, in rogue, one, we see Galen as an imperial. But it’s not until later that he dies, to join the rebellion. So is it possible that we could see Galen working as an imperial officer working on the death star in the second season of Andor? Because, like I said, he passes a message to gin, telling her where to blow up the death star. And it’s before he dies in the movie.
Those fishing aliens would absolutely be aware of the presence of the death star if it were there. Even if they did not have a space ship, they would see that giant mass, it would take up most of the sky, block sunlight and even mess with the tides.
The size of those things the prisoners were making are small enough to easily transport to the death star location. Maybe in just a handful of trips with some large space cargo ships. The fewer trips the better, as not to rouse suspicion.
The DS can't really move around in that state right? So Scarif. If it can move, maybe Andors homeworld that was apparently strip mined then all involved were killed to keep it secret.
The Death Star in construction at Scarif would, by necessity, be in a parked orbit on the opposite side of the planet from the shield gate and the garrison “fleet”. The DS possesses enough mass that if parked adjacent to the gate and the fleet, there’d be the need to constantly have to adjust for the gravitational tidal forces created by the DS. It’s all just orbital mechanics.
Scarif would make sense, but I also thought about Kamino, the Empire definitely has that planet, its remote, its sorta "unknown" to a lot of folks, it wouldn't be easy to locate. Scarif is less remote and known about, seems like it would make a poor location for a super secret nobody can find out about this, project. It cannot be Narkina 5, as shown, that planet is a moon, meaning the final pull away shot should have revealed the larger planet behind it and it does not.
I've assumed for a while it's at Scarif by the time the show starts. They even mentioned there was a "construction project" going on there at one of the ISB meetings early in the season.
Not completely sold on it being Scarif. I'm guessing there's an uninhabited world that is near the outer rim and far away from the major hyperspace lanes
My guess is its a new uninhabitable planet we’ve never seen before, far away from any hyperspace lanes. Just cuz the Death Star Blew up Scarif in rogue one, doesn’t mean they’re gonna construct it right in front of the planet. Seems a little too continent for me, and besides, Anyone can easily hyperspace jump to the planet, so it wouldn’t make sense why they’d risk exposing their battle station, when they could just pick a planet not on any Star maps and far away from hyperspace lanes.
Yeah its at Scarif. Getting its main weapon and power core installed.
They already noted an increase of shipments of resources to Scarif. It would make no sense to need all that extra material unless they were building something.
Scarif was also mentioned during ISB meeting in episode 4, in relation to tightened security and increased traffic. While most of us assumed it was because of construction of citadel, maybe it was Death Star all along.
But correct if I'm wrong don't we see the dish being installed in Rogue One while Tarkin watches it? Or was that a second time it was done maybe after Galen finishes the superlaser.

Who cares Andor dies and the Death Star gets destroyed we have already seen it.
