  1. You guys really should have started Kawakami… some of her events are more time sensitive than others.
Not to mention she is probably one of the most useful confidant in existence, especially towards the end of her rank.

  2. Oh yeah, and 2 small tips for looking for Confidants on the map: 1. If you check their cards on the map and there's an "Up!" next to them, then they're ready to be leveled up. 2. If you're wondering where a Confidant is, look for when there's blue text on the bottom right saying "Who should I spend my time with?", and there'll be someone there

  3. 7 Deadly Sins on Persona 5:
    1. Kamoshida = Lust
    2. Madarame = Vanity

YAY!!! My prayers has been answered!!! MORE MARUKI CONTENT!

Lucky for you guys, Staunch is Level 3 Guts.

DOUBLE YAY!!! We got the good politician as the confidant!

Okay… so why does this Docile First-Year sound like Santa from 999?

Hey guys… what if there is someone else besides Ann… maybe you should check around the station more.

Again, if you want to raise up Ann’s confidant… then you must hang out with her even if she isn’t ready.

Hurray!!! Finally some confidant action Daddy Sojiro!… unfortunately you can only raise his confidant to Level 4… due to story reasons.

I don’t care about those STUPID smoothies! We Stan Our Bro Ryuji!

I didn’t know the part-owners can email you to work!? The heck managers!!!

Everytime when Mishima shows up… Why does he exist?

YAY!!! THE RED RIBBON GIRL HAS BEEN ACHIEVED!!! Also I wasn’t expecting to be five stars!? Also yeah her name is Kasumi.

  4. Makoto with Komaru's VA using a megaphone… Damn, all those coincidences are interesting. And giving me Vietnam flashbacks. Anyway I'm glad that the time to meet * her * finally arrived(properly this time)
Random bonus fact:There's a Persona 5 easter egg in none other than "Stray"! While exploring the Slums, eventually you'll come across a robot named Sojiro and says he was once the owner of a bar…

  5. Kasumi has finally been unlocked. She is also a confidant to max, not so hard as she only has five ranks to start because spoilers. Have plenty of time with her since December 18th is the cut-off date to do it. Yep, you can only hang with Yoshida on Sundays, once again don't worry about the points he ranks up every time. So you have reached rank four with Sojiro which means his confidant is now locked until a certain point in the story. Basically, you can't rank up with him till then. There are other confidants that have this as well. Ah, the cake knight rises is probably the best parody movie in the game.

  6. Piece of Advice to keep in mind! There are some confidant who have a "time limit" to when you can't hang out with them anymore and are important. Maruki is one you should finish before November for important reasons. Good luck!

  7. 1:05:04 They're actually not greyed out just because of stats. In this case, they're only greyed out because you haven't started them yet. But a card can also be greyed out if you need to meet some other requirement to progress the Confidant further, similar to when you needed more Guts to progress Takemi's Confidant and take the medicine.

On that note, if you look at the rail map (the screen you were looking at in the timestamp), you can actually tell when a Confidant is going to level up if you speak with them. If a Confidant is not going to level up, it'll show a blue card icon (ex. at 23:46, Ann's card). If they are going to level up, it'll show the same blue card with an "UP!!" next to it (ex. at 23:47, Takemi's card).

If you haven't already (I know these are recorded ahead of time), I'd recommend taking a look at the comment I left on your last video, the one about how to tell if you've gotten enough points during a Confidant event to level them up the next time.

On a semi-related note, I'd recommend hanging out with a Confidant whenever they invite you to go somewhere like Ryuji did at 37:27. This is one of the easiest to ways to discover new places to go. Most places aren't unlocked through story progression but through optional content like hangouts.

And on very tangentially-related note, the Sun Confidant (the politician) does not require any points to level up. Some answers give points just because that's the way the game works, but you could actually perfectly dodge all the answers that give points and still be able to level them up the next time. The Moon Confidant (Mishima) works the exact same way.

And, even less tangentially-related, there are a few Confidants that will become unavailable after a certain point in the game for one reason or another. The Sun and the Councillor Confidants are two of them. I'd recommend prioritizing them both.

Sorry for the long comment. There's just a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff in this game that the game doesn't outright tell you about, so I'm trying to hopefully make it less complicated for you.

  8. Well, you've started 3 of the 5 confidants that are on a time limit: Maruki, Yoshida, and Yoshizawa. Kawakami is also one of them, so you'll want to get to her pretty soon (stupid guts hurdle). And the final one should start soon (you might have already recorded the episode where that one starts).

  9. Yoshida is mainly available on Sundays, but not exclusively available on Sundays (sometimes he'll text you on Not Sunday). You do not need a matching Persona in your stock to rank him up faster. You also have a plot-induced time limit to finish; you can't hang with him after mid-November.

  10. I believe you did have a Councillor Persona before it goes by the name of Kushi Mitama its only level 12 at the very least. Doesn't hurt to always check the Velvet Room to see if you have one for future reference. Glad you also got to talk to Kawakami beforehand too.

  11. 5:18 You had the chance to fuse a Councilor several episodes ago, and you didn't. You need to fuse things. Basically, when you go to the Velvet Room, and see "new" next to something that's your level, there's almost never a reason NOT to fuse it, especially at these early levels. Fill up that compendium as much as poissible, so you have those arcana for confidants, and so that you can meet the specific requirements for Special Fusions (sometimes they'll ask for a bunch of high level stuff and a single level 7 persona, for example).

Being too precious about not fusing new stuff is absolutely going to bite you in the ass, especially if you're not able to efficiently hang out with confidants in the late-game.

  12. Just FYI Yoshida (the politician) always ranks up when you hang out with him (like with Mishima) as compensation for only being able to hang out on Sundays.

  13. Kasumi is one of my favorite characters and love her politeness. Makoto releasing her inner Komaru with the Megaphone at the park. As for those Confidants where the card was grayed out means you don't meet the requirements to hang out with them like how you need more Guts for Kawakami. Loving the playthrough and you guys being able to do some voices from time to time!

  14. Just a friendly warning: Sakura's social link won't raise above level 4 until after the fourth Palace, so any more time you spend with him will be wasted. Feel free to spend your nights doing other things.

  15. You definitely got a councillor persona before, so I'd suggest you look into your compendium. Also a bit of advice: don't be afraid to fuse personas. It's one of the game's main gimmicks in jrpg part, so it's expected of you to fuse personas constantly. holding on to the same personas for too long might leave you underpowered.

Regarding your guess that justine is the one reading text when a new confidant is made, my answer is yes and no. This'll become clear when you reach endgame, but for now I'll refrain from saying anything else.

Thank you for choosing this game for a playthrough! I found you through Ace Attorney/Danganronpa and glad to see you've decided to play another favorite of mine. You guys revived my interest in letsplays I thought has died long time ago. So, I hope you'll have a blast with this game!
