Wait what
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet absolutely feels like a top-tier Pokemon game, which is a damn shame it has such bad technical problems. But I really love how I've been talking to friends and we all have gone incredibly different places and orders which made exchanging stories really fun.
Well, that’s too bad; heard Rodea was decent
2:01:51 Kris, how dare you talk smack about Leopaldon.
He's three characters in one. That's such value.
I do own Cookstar, sadly. It's still in the shrink wrap!
The mention of Tosh loading in faster on OLED Switch with cart, but the OLED Switch allegedly having the same internals (beyond any obvious revisions made over time I guess) makes me wonder; I'm on a regular launch week Switch, but I'm playing Violet on cart, and while it has lots of issues still (memory leak, bad performance, curious physics interactions with the lizard, etc), I haven't had anything as nutty as the clips on Twitter or wherever else, or even some of the stuff like the trainer finger issues here.
I'm not even sure if this makes sense, but I wonder if the cartridge version, somehow, is ever so slightly more stable? Or something about reading off an SD card/Switch internal storage is making it a bit wackier? Could also be pure luck of the draw, but I'd be curious to know if people having the silliest glitches are cart or digital.
Thank you all for another great Big Think Dimension!
Remember Red Ashe?
Dude God of War is so thick that I don't even know if the "thing" that Bob and Kris are talking about are the same thing I have lol
The difference between Signalis wearing its influences on its sleeve vs Soulstice is STAGGERING
Signalis takes entire names of areas from Silent Hill 3 and is infinitely a better game than Soulstice
Regarding BroForce: around when it was released on Switch, so 2018 or 2019, they fixed the game so it runs alright. If I remember correctly, it was an engine problem.
everyone apologize to Naoto Ohshima and Hirokazu Yasuhara and Rieko Kodama (R.I.P.) and everyone else in the old Sonic Team for forgetting their contributions and attributing them all to Yuji Naka.
I'll probably never get over the Wii U version of Rodea having a FLIGHT METER in a game about FLYING.
Man they really seem to hate Horrizon. It was a good game from what I remembered a solid 7
I hope the 100% completion bonus for GOW Ragnarok is that Sly Cooper shows up and tells Kratos that they need to get the All Stars back together
Every time you diss a Yuji Naka game, Pariah695 dies a little inside.

I’ve been emulating violet and I can confirm that having the game at a stable framerate has improved my enjoyment immensely. Also the lack of any voices whatsoever hurts some scenes. I definitely still prefer the older styled game to the newer ones but it’s better than the anemic 3ds entries and SWSH
Yeah no, I've seen other games that have scopes as big as Scarlet/Violet and they may not run perfectly, but they are nowhere near as bad as this, this is not a Switch problem, it's a GameFreak problem, they have never released a mainline game that doesn't have at least some issue, they clearly need more staff and/or more development time.
AND THAT SUCKS BECAUSE THE GAME IS SUPER FUN.
This weeks btd geniunely had me laughing so hard at parts, I'm so glad we still got an episode
every time Dan puts his Sequelitis OC in the thumbnail I get scared.
I switched from audio to video for the podlords and then got hit with a brick after the segment ended, thanks dan
Hearing about Rahxephon in 2022 kinda sent me off kilter, it sure is the anime of all time
Personally I've noticed better performance in handheld mode for Pokemon Violet, and friends have said the similar. Have a Switch OLED myself, idk about them, but it seems to be a thing (somehow)
The hardware itself refusing to accept Pokemon as anything but a handheld game ig
