Crazy how much thundersnow ive seen over my life, considering how rare it is. In CT i witnessed thundersnow in Feb 01, Feb 03, Feb 13, Feb 17, Mar 18. Some of which was very close CG strikes, with loud summertime convective claps.

Wow! I would love to make a snowman. My question is. The warm air in Lake Michigan. This late in the game. Could it be linked to increased geothermal or hydrothermal activity below the lake? The lake is 922ft deep. Is there a way to get measuring equipment to depth to identify water temperatures at various depths?

Back when I was younger I experienced Thunder with snow before. One time it was a snow storm I saw a huge big flash of lightning then I hear this big boom of thunder. It felt so weird hearing Thunder while snow storming. I didn't even know Thunder existed with snow so I was really shocked after hearing Thunder during snowstorm. It doesn't feel real.

I don't know what year I experienced thundersnow this happen in Baltimore where i live but it was definitely when I was a child there was still snow on the ground I saw two flashes of lightning and heard rumbles of thunder after that it started to sleet then change back rain then pretty much the finale a blizzard started and lasted through the rest of the night

I grew up here we used to get couple feet of snow and would last all winter especially back in the 70s .
Now its too warm and NO Longer Snows here… mostly big droughts!
