Was there a pre-existing mental diagnosis? Why did she get the sentence she got? So if you are drinking & driving & you kill someone in an accident, I guess you can have your lawyer pull a mitigating factor stunt, "Gee, I was in a blackout from drinking way too much, didn't know I was even driving, let's blame it on the booze then". GTHOH!!!!

This is designed to make us feel like people can go berserk at the drop of a hat. I doubt if Camille did that. I suspect her family and her teachers could have sensed something seriously wrong and helped her. We aren't told what her bloodwork showed. There is a drug called flakka, a virulent form of meth, which can lead to very violent crime. Dealers may put powerful drugs like that in marijuana or other products which the buyer thinks are rather weak. Overall, America needs to handle mental illness better.
The other home owners should have filed separate charges giving her a 2 to 5 years in addittion

Pastor Ron declared the reason: the woman was possessed by one or more demons. Sad there are not many churches who understand or even acknowledge Jesus' deliverance ministry. He told His diciples these things they would do and even greater. We certainly have failed Him in so many areas and those He died to save. How horrible that she killed this poor fella, I don't believe that the marijuana had anything to do with it. Their had to be other drugs for her to be so violent. Iam so sorry for Ron's wife and his brother as well as a community that lost a great pillar.

Mentality unstable , if this is the case lock them up in a mental institution where they belong ,there is no cure for these people,most of them do not follow any medical instructions or take their medicine once released back into society
Too many people get off with that excuse ,and a majority of time commit crimes again
What they need is put up housing in these doctor's neighbors and see how they like living and wording if one of there clients is going to murder/rape one of your family members

Hold up. if Camille's parents didn't know about her drug use, quitting school, being a stripper why did they report her as a missing person if all she did was walk out while getting extensions? Why did the cops take the report? I usually hear an adult, 19yo can leave if they choose, why are they concerned ie is she a threat to self or others.

there's no way in hell this psycho went homicidal and became irrationally violent on WEED. no. fucking. way. even if she had schizophrenia or slipped into psychosis, the level of rage and brutality was off the charts. the hospital attendants must have taken her blood, and i'll bet there were substances other than marijuana. i wish we could have heard more on her background. DOES she suffer from mental illness? doesn't seem like it, because once she came back to her senses she still expressed no remorse for her actions. wish we could have heard from her family too. do they really think she doesn't deserve punishment for killing an innocent, old man? i think the brother was right when he said she was self-absorbed (trait of a sociopath btw). i shiver to think of the day she's released from prison.

Feeling safe in your own house? That is a great lesson to not do, open your door to anyone. It takes 1 second to push your door open and attack you and your family.
