  1. This is exactly what i did for you! I copied Octavia for the octoburrr challenge. I really like your style but ive been having trouble replicating it. I now realize that i still have my own unique style, just mixed with yours and others. And i also realize that doing Octavia wasnt your style, so i thought it would be fun for both of us to go out of our comfort zones

  2. idk if you will see this, but i always have trouble with the spiral sketchbooks. The pages always get damaged and the cover always ends up comming off somehow. could you give me afew tips on how to prevent that?

  3. A friend of mine recently copied some of my art. I let them take some pictures of my sketch book because they said they wanted some inspiration. I'm completely fine with that, like you said, its how young artists learn. But I wasn't expecting them to COPY EXACTLY and I don't know how I feel about it. I was really proud of those spreads in my sketchbook and now they just don't feel original anymore. I'm not going to tell them to take them out because thats just rude but I dont know how to approach them about it. It might not seem like a big deal, neither of us are making a profit or posting our art but it kinda is a big deal to me and I'm not sure how to deal with it.

  4. Love this advice! So many times I hear artist express that your art always has to be original and you aren’t allowed to copy anyone else’s art.
But that’s not how you learn. Copying and tracing is such a good way to improve your skill!
What’s wrong to do is to to claim your copied or traced work is your own.
    Be inspired by others!

  5. If you do it you'll just get "yelled" at…doesn't matter if you do it just to learn if your a small artist people will rip your head of if you ecen get close to something that could resemble something

  6. The only way to cheat at art is to use or put others down for the sake of your own art. Taking credit for other people's ideas and pieces. Selling their pieces you've recreated. Cheating would be taking from other artists in some way and passing it as yours. You can always take inspiration ofc, you can always trace or use their style to try it out, but it's the owning up to that that makes it valuable.
