This game is dead to me I almost completed a year playing this game straight but for some reason on the sixth month just lost the will to play that game , I found out when I started playing The raid kings fall is where I found out I didn’t wanna play .this game for a person that didn’t know how to play the game at all and struggled to learn the game no one wanted to teach and yet I figured out the game and I became a teacher but the lies players talking about I know how to do this I know how to do that the game became unplayable Having to teach and try to carry many people when they said they knew what to do. It’s just better to help someone if they’re honest about what they know about the game, I didn’t know anything about kings fall and yet I still tried it just doing the raid four times and I was able to get the exotic weapon twice on two different characters I don’t know the disrespect the community gives out when they think they’re better than others it’s fucked up I always played with a friend of mine that was going through cancer people are just so disrespectful in the destiny community but who is he to tell his story just to make people want to play with him he brought me into this game the game was very fun when we played together but as soon as I found out that the game can’t be played with just two people I get discouraged both of us. I overcame it and I learned the game for both of us so I can help him through the raids and get those loser weapons from all the raids that don’t do anything for you really, but it meant a lot to him when he first got the Vault of glass exotic weapon I was so happy he was telling me in destiny one he tried so hard to get into the raids but no one wanted to play with him sad my first experience in destiny one was not great neither played one week of it and I got discouraged because I have no clue what the game was about so I never played it .Destiny is a cool game it completely fits my style of gaming the community is just trash disgusting people that’s why I don’t play destiny anymore I do appreciate whoever did play with us and whoever taught me the game those were great teachers.
There are so many issues with pvp in destiny 2 especially for PC players and at the risk of sounding pessimistic, I seriously doubt that changing comp is going to make any difference. I doubt there are enough people who willingly and exclusively play crucible to warrant a change like this. What bungie should be doing is focusing on a way to integrate the pve audience into pvp activities to diversify the player group.
Yes, this includes things like SBMM. I'm aware that not a lot of people like SBMM, especially those in the top tier of play but realistically, the game isn't all about those people. It's about the entire community. If you're good enough to be the top 1% and you have 4000 hours of game time you're far from the majority and you can't expect a developer to cater specifically to your needs. The same goes for the bottom 1% and new players. SBMM is designed to give people challenging matches. If you're good at pvp and you go in and totally crap all over the enemy team every time, that isn't really fun. It gets boring really quickly. The same goes for those going in and getting crapped on every single match, it isn't fun. If you want to get better at something you need to be able to practice in an environment that's condusive to development. You can't get better if you die in less than a second in every engagement.
Also the cheating. holy fucking hell the cheating. I've played IB for about 2 hours today and I'm not exaggerating in any way, every single match I've had (on pc) has between 1-4 cheaters both on my team and on the enemy team. I don't mean cheaters like they're better than me and I'm making excuses, I mean like blatant auto aim, pre firing on corners when you're not on radar, fully automatic witherhordes with unlimited ammo, teleporting all over the place, vanishing and reappearing in different places, people that take absolutely no damage when you shoot them (it doesn't say 1 or 0, it says immune). These are all things that my friends who play on console cannot believe happen with any kind of regular occurance until they come over and try on PC. I don't know if I have bad luck, i'm trapped in a pool of cheaters (i've never personally cheated, it's been like this since D2 Day one for me) or it's some obscure port that needs to be opened on my PC for this game to not run like a pile of shit, but it's enough to make me never want to play it.
I know exactly what bungie needs to do to fix crucible and have it retain players when their pve content has finished but there's literally no place to share it with them. Any criticism of the game in any way is shut down or you're told you're just bad, or it's entirely on your end. Anyone who blindly defends this game is doing a disservice to themselves and the community as a whole. We should be challenging bungie to make the game better even when it is in a good state, and right now it's not even in a passable state. I've have a background in the industry and if someone came to me with D2 and said "this is ready to ship" and I would turn them back and give them multiple pages of issues to address before shipping it out. This game has improved since year 1 but that isn't saying much. It's still far from ready.
It's also not IB – it's every game mode. I just went into momentum to do a bounty. We were winning by a large margin. 2 people left their team, one of the new people that joined was blatantly cheating and we ended up losing. That one person had 75 kills more than half way into the match.
If bungie doesn't want to fix pvp then give us more pve activities.
Crucible has a very weak weapon pool, no way to get high stat Armor. No reason for me to do other than bare minimum into any form of crucible.
A side note to this is that 343 added the ability to adjust where weapons and hud elements sit on the screen. I would love to be able to move my D2 radar closer to the center of the screen instead of having it way off in the corner. Likewise, I would like to have my weapons sit further down the screen like with console default reticle.
Does the rank reset every season or is it a life time rank?

Question for the community. Despite how you feel personally, do you really believe Bungie will allow their game to be the only major FPS without sbmm? I'm curious to your thoughts.
It's just gonna be another half assed thing to make people think they care. This game is just a money printer for whatever other projects they are funding. They know PVP needs maps and rewards, they just dont want to spend the cash on it. Same for Gambit and PVE, they need updates just as bad, yet here we are…

Like it should ONLY BE RANKED BASED MATCHMAKING (RBMM). Unfortunately this is because the shitters will cry that they can’t reach Ascendant.

We got one new map with witch queen and it's arguably the worst map and I pray it never becomes a trials map.
I for one won’t be playing any Iron Banner after “loose SBMM” is implemented. Shit does not feel remotely lose for us players in the top 5 to 10%

Yeah I know Paul Tassie spoke about this in his recent video but making a brand new map every year every other year isn't enough content. And bungee should not be praised for bringing Destiny 2 maps that were vaulted back into the game. That's bungies issue with getting it updated to the new engine and that's not the players fault and Bungie shouldn't be celebrated for bringing back maps that should have never left the game or should have been brought back sooner.
I would rather them bring back Destiny 1 maps because that feels more like newer content to me then Destiny 2 maps that I have already played
I hope Bungie never merges all platforms together for PvP. I'll quit gaming. It should stay as Xbox vs. PlayStation.

There should be a top 1% rank past ascendant that shows your exact number placement in the world, kind of like how legend works in hearthstone.
Without dedicated servers it crap for console users, those on a m/kb will dominate still. To those us on controller. Ps5 and Xbox x works amazing on m/kb . But peer to peer impossible, write program detect all types inputs, dedicated servers can in second detect, if mod control or mod keyboard and mouse, one program, not millions constantly on peer to peer side.
It one reason they not merged us all. They can not detect if on m/kb or controller or, what third party device people use. And peer to peer not at we're need need confirmation of a crypto bit coin for your input device. Maybe or probably 10 yrs from that or longer.
Yes there is crypto being built to end modded controllers and keyboard and mouse, but it still 10 years away. Most being built for major companies not, billions peer to peer. Maybe some one get shib work.
Rose being locked behind Comp, even if it's not requiring getting to the higher ranks, is a big fat nope from me. I did my Comp grind for Revoker, and I refuse to do it again.

Dedicated servers also we could have clan ships and players ships, 70 percent data cloud on data 75 percent less data down load, unless pvp or super hardcore pve.
I think it’s hard to follow for some people that getting to Ascendant is not a guarantee. This is not an XP bar, this is a rating. Like, if you never get better, than you will not rank up. Obviously this is if the system works as they explained. If I get rated at platinum, and never get better and be good enough to take on Adept teams, then I’m going to STAY platinum. I think it’s gonna be fun to see where streamers/top players actually end up being rated (and the fallout on twitter from people complaining that the system is broke cause they don’t get to the rank they think they’re at)

Think how much money destiny could make, have a house system like ff14 , charge 15 month for leaders of clan, and players keep up. If leader not on , and all stuff get grind and in a cash shop.
