The in-game start date for the episode was the 30th of Sydenstar in the year 843. Sam’s gas can has a picture of him holding an Emmy, and a quill with chalk on the end is attached to the front. There is some debate as to what this is supposed to mean.

It seems relevant to point out that there are active Critical Role communities on Reddit and Tumblr. There are a lot of great fan creators and commentators on Twitter, I’m worried about losing track of them if people migrate to other sites. Maybe drop some of your favorite creators in the comments.

Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

  2. Just watching this now and when I heard Barinak I almost fell of my chair laughing. It means shelter in Turkish but that was not why because i almost fell of my chair Matt's pronunciation was almost perfect saying it.

  3. Ashton Fuck Count: Previous Episodes = 273, Episode 40 = 0 a pretty quiet one for Ashton but still a great episode, loving all the were-folk. It makes me want to play a shifter again.

  4. Right at the very end he jokes about being aware. Platypus. I once actually created aware platypus for my campaign. The virus was transmitted through the poison barbs under the males wrists. It was a pretty cool character. Unfortunately, the campaign did not last long enough for me to bring him to his full potential

  5. Liam has always surprised and impressed me with his characters and how he portrays them. Watching Vax, Caleb, and now Orym, it's just incredible. I can relate to all 3, but how he plays Orym, ESPECIALLY in this episode, hits so hard to me. The "Good Guy" has a limit. Very few people under that, and we don't always have an Ashton to talk to.

  7. After just finishing C1 in a matter of weeks my brain is so fried that I’m not used to good mic and camera quality anymore. It sounds so foreign to me.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
