The feature film introduces a legendary family of explorers, the Clades, as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures. “Inspired by classic adventure stories,” said director Don Hall, “‘Strange World’ is an original animated adventure/comedy about three generations of the Clade family who overcome their differences while exploring a strange, wondrous and oftentimes hostile world.”
 
The voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission; Dennis Quaid as Searcher’s larger-than-life explorer father, Jaeger; Jaboukie Young-White as Searcher’s 16-year-old son, Ethan, who longs for adventure; Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and Searcher’s partner in all things; and Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, Avalonia’s fearless leader who spearheads the exploration into the strange world. “Strange World” is helmed by Don Hall (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”).

  1. I wonder how they got locked in? I’m calling it, the president is secretly the twist villain. Sure, the missing father would be more obvious but that’s exactly why I don’t think it’s him.

  4. Am I the only one that thinks this movie should not only have a great marketing campaign, but great advertising and marketing for having not having any competitions against a non-Disney blockbuster hit by being a success?

I have an idea for the Disney animation studio What if Disney made a animation movie that’s about treasure hunting and takes place in Cuba and is about a man and his pet dogo cubano and they set off on an adventure to find the treasure and oscar Nunez who plays Oscar from the office could be the voice of the main character

  24. I don't know how this movie would turn out, but even if it turned out amazing, I'm worried that those who run Disney are losing their interest in animation, even great quality animation. I'm worried that they might favor live action or something else more than animation and gradually stop doing/marketing animated movies and/or shows the way they used to. I'm uncertain about the future, but I also want to hope that either they will soon realize what they were doing wrong and get their act together themselves or something will rise up to encourage them to make better changes to the company.
