Ok I'm just a simple farm boy but I've been thinking about what Elon will do when he gets there in terms of farming for a couple of years. I think he needs to start developing everything for farming now hear on earth, he needs to develop a bio dome that will work and everything to create a environment, from worms that can handle the gravity and that can break up stoney soil and spread organic matter through it, maybe from human waste . Fungus to break down rocks and the organic matter from the worms and humans . Plants that pump out 2 or 5 times the amount of oxygen well providing a lot of produce . And I think he should take something like guinea pigs and carp but start developing a breeds of everything that can handle the conditions on Mars when they get there . He needs to maybe do some genetic engineering. There's so many things bacteria to convert nitrogen into stuff plants can take up , maybe give worms a hard exoskeleton like insects and make guinea pigs that breed even faster and bigger but use half the oxygen ….. anyone got any thoughts I'd love to hear them

Build a stadium size greenhouse with a roof that opens during the day with high-elevation evergreens inside. Have loads of solar panels powering an electrolysis cell and fuel cell so the only source input would be hydrogen or water. Could get the hydrogen from algae, if the water pool could be kept from freezing. Probably still wouldn't work without nuclear energy.
Find the largest redirectable snowball ice comet and crash it into Mars. A comet the size of Texas hitting Mars would probably do the trick might have to wait for a few thousand years after that though.
