  2. People hate Cole, but don’t give him enough credit. Keep in mind his speaking career is meant specifically for news casting. Hell, when the WWE did a show in Iraq, Cole was requested to report the situation going on over there. Despite the criticism, he did what he can to adapt to the new environment.

  3. I grew up with Jim Ross being "the voice", so there was a number of years where I thought Cole was just absolutely insufferable because who the hell can compare to J.R. in his prime, right? But man, over the last 10 years, and especially since Pat came on board, my opinion on Cole has changed so, so much. He's become such a joy to listen to, and you can truly tell that Pat really brought a lot of Cole's energy and passion back. These two together are magic for WWE's presentation.

  4. Cole has been a lot better on commentary since Vince left! He is WAYYY better than we thought because he had a crazed steroid infused senile old man screaming in his ear for 2 or 3 and at times 5 ours a week not counting ppvs.

  7. I've always liked Michael Cole. I've always had sympathy for him for the stupid things he's been through throughout his entire career. Since the change, he's definitly been happier & people are starting to see what people like me have seen & heard for years.

  11. Vince crushed Cole so hard that people forgot what a great announcer he was. When he was with Tazz on Smackdown, when Vince was more concerned about the raw broadcast than Smackdown, Cole got to be Cole and it was wonderful. He became more entertaining than an aging JR. I am glad to see this Cole back. He is outstanding and his passion for this business gets to shine through again

  26. I would've hated to see Pat ruin his voice and everything else over doing both WWE and College Game Day. I love hearing him every time he is on Smackdown but it's understandable why he would leave for a while. I mean, it's College Game Day. Hope for you to be back soon and would love to hear you call matches again. You are amazing and miss ya every Friday.

  28. I would like the commentary to be good again like when jim ross was their its what makes the matches and crowds I know people know wrestling is fake but at least be there to cheer or boo something it's a show

  29. Since the topic was brought up, def kudos to the team for elevating the show to where it is now. IMHO the last piece to the puzzle is lighting. Currently it's too flat and low contrast. If some lighting technicians or anyone who is familiar with lighting can step the game up, the show would be top tier. Noting crazy either, just some overhead lights which give some backlighting and some side light to Pat and his guests to bring some much needed contrast for definition…it goes a long way to make for a polished looking show.
