On todays ‘Sunday Sounds of Freedom’ we join Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Romania as they fire the big guns.
Then we head to Korea where we join 51st Fighter Wing F-16’s and Indo-Pacific Command B-1B bombers and Republic of Korea F-35A’s in a joint flight operation over the Korean Peninsula.
Then Soldiers with the 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 32d Army Air and Missile Defense Command conduct a Patriot Missile Live Fire at McGregor Range Complex, New Mexico.
Lastly we join ‘Operation Steadfast Noon’ which involves 13 countries and up to 60 aircraft of various types, including fourth and fifth generation fighter jets, as well as surveillance and tanker aircraft. US B-52 long-range bombers flying out of Minot Air Base in North Dakota also take part. This operation takes place over Belgium, as over the North Sea and the United Kingdom.
