i remember watching you play OG sonic with the GameGrumps. I knew then you were a pretty big fan of the series. It's awesome to hear you liked it that much. it's ben a long time since I've played a sonic game, and even longer since I've had the drive or time to complete a game, but you've convinced me. Hope your well internet beard guy. and thanks once again for some killer content.
From what I was watching of a stream the other day, this game looks pretty wonderful and right up my alley. It doesn't look perfect, but it does appear to be one of the most solid efforts Sonic Team has ever given at making a game. Not bad considering the ambition here! Haters gonna hate, but I like you also really enjoyed Star Fox Zero, so…different strokes, y'know?
I totally agree about the 2D stages. It feels like the momentum was as borked up in it as it was in Forces and, to a lesser extent, Generations. Momentum doesn't work in any realistic way and the physics would randomly break whenever you accidentally add an input to the scripted sections (going through loops, trying to attack an enemy when you shouldn't, etc). The game is still really fun but I kept noticing it on stage 1-6 (which is when I also noticed that the boost doesn't kill enemies anymore lol)
Idk anything abt the story and I’m wondering why is sonic the only living thing on the planet it just seems empty

I grew up with sega genesis Sonic and really wanted this game to be good. I only played a couple hours last night but I was having so much fun. Unfortunately I’ll be switching to GOWR this evening so I’ll get back to Sonic before the holidays

Ancient rails appear after doing Challenge Posts to unlock the map actually, not after character side missions
It's crazy how an impression can change depending on how something is presented. When i watched SkillUp's video, which focused a lot on the negatives, i was convinced that this game was utter garbage. But when you present it, it looks fun.
Yeah we desperately need a map in this game that takes place in an open world city/abandoned city. That would be incredible.

Just beat the game, honestly sonic frontiers is everything that I've wanted from a sonic game
– Beautiful landscapes
– more mature and deep characters
– a map that allows me to run anywhere
– amazing soundtrack
– a well thought out story
The character interactions with eachother throughout the story is what I loved especially, Ian Flynn now one of my favorite story writers

I started the game yesterday got about an hour or two into the game it seemed good
With what you talked about Eggman. He felt more like his IDW version, which has had more moments like the game. The difference being is that in the comics we see his thought process, we see him grow and learn. This is definitely reflected in the game.
Also for anyone that knows of Eggman’s other creation from the IDW Comics. Let’s how next time they see each other, he acts kinder towards her.
