Thanks for inviting a staunch democrat advocate on the show to lecture us on American politics through the liberal lens as if we haven't had enough of that on cnn or nbc, and the various "bad outcomes" that might ensue if the other side took back the congress. Just one thing: after all that GOP bashing, did she also mention that a group of radical "progressive" democrats sent a letter to the White House demanding that Biden must negotiate directly with Putin to sue for peace, then quickly withdrew and denied that they've ever sent it in the first place when faced with overwhelming backlash? Seeing this is a podcast about the Ukraine War after all and that was a major development over the past few weeks regarding that matter in the US political circle, hmmm I must have missed that part where she talked about it.
Glory to Ukraine.
My heart is breaking for the peaceful people of Ukraine.
May Ukraine expel or defeat and repel all putin invading soldiers waging war on peaceful Ukraine.
May Ukraine expel defeat or repel all Russian separatists back to Russia.
the world does not recognize putins fake and illegal referendums
the world see iranian weapons being sold to putin and used against ukrainian people
May Ukraine retake all its stolen land
the world sees putins armies actions the world sees the putins analog lies
putin can not claim revenge. putin started this war. Ukraine has full moral authority to defend itself and repel Russians
all russian unwilling mobilized people should surrender to the saftey of Ukraine.
the world sees putins continued unprovoked unjustified war of aggression on the sovereign country of Ukraine.

The supreme court cannot grant a right that doesn't already exist – the constitution is silent on anything to do with abortion – it would take an amendment to change that and it takes 2/3 of the state's to ratify that. Roe v Wade was unconstitutional that's why it was overturned – Abortion is not a top issue in this election – from memory #1 is inflation #2 is crime everything else is far behind – including abortion — I'm pro choice as long as it's done early enough – and not paid for with tax payers dollars – the US political ad (CA 47th) that I have to watch to listen to to hear this podcaste untrue scare tactics – Abortion cannot be banned nationwide any more than it can be allowed nationwide. A backwards Roe v Wade would be as unconstitutional as the original Roe v Wade
Genocide is a term that isn’t used enough in reportage about the acts of Muscovy on Ukrainian nationals. Ultimately the war will end when with a shift in self-identification by the aggressor state. The leadership of Moscow will say “new” Muscovy is a something other than an imperial state. What they might identity as, is interesting to consider. We will know it’s happening when the imperial symbols change.
They are a good few window tripping victims signing up for free fall session this week, klichco, olly t etc
Let’s make this clear. Americans are NOT suffering, the Ukrainians ARE suffering.
Currently the Ukrainian unconventional military force is so well stablished to fight against Russian army, that Putin's soldiers find themselves attacked from all directions with out hope anywhere and anytime, Thus turning any Russian military initiative extremally difficult and impossible for a long time. (even if the war could last 5+ years for this type of unconventional Ukrainian front it's still a serious numbers game)
Imagen that calculating for the unconventional, plus the formal Ukrainian force, Plus the presence of volunteers in the Ukrainian war effort along with the EU support in action, it would be like rolling 3 sets of dice obtaining the highest value 75% of the time. It means that only 25% of the Russian soldiers would return home out of a bag! to tell the story! this numbers are completely terrifying for any army and a diplomatic negotiation is imminent and it should take course immediately to reduce the great number Russian of body bags expected.
How many times did Roseina say ya know?
Russia is a professional military & their logistical readiness is nearly complete. It's over for Ukraine & there is nothing they can do. The collapse begins this month. Ho-ho-ho. Zelensky may even fly in from his villa in Italy where he shoots his green screen war footage. A hard rain is gonna fall.
No matter the stock market crash one needs to have different portfolio, I already invested in Forex and Crypto which are really profitable
Iraq was a darling once, had all the support and military equipment from NATO and Warsaw pact, finance from the gulf countries, was pampered and spoiled until it was dismembered by those very same helpers, hope Ukraine takes note how sinister the West is
We need to start discussions with Russia. Ukraine has no power or water, has lost 20% of its land and is only in the fight because of the bank rolling of the USA and the UK. This won't last forever. I believe the USA are now at 120bn in funds sent. American popular opinion is changing rapidly as prices sore. Perhaps not so much in the UK but the USA is more important in this context.
I do not support Putin or agree with anything in which has been said or has happened in Ukraine. I just believe moving forward (whilst we still can) negotiations need to be started again and a solution to end the conflict must be reached.
Despite the best efforts of this brilliant podcast. Ukraine is not winning in all areas of the war. Successes are drying up and they are in for a very hard winter. The west must mitigate peace and if that means loss of territory for Ukraine then so be it.
I've listened since day one, I find this podcast extremely informative but wish for a more balanced view with regards to the discussion above. There is merit and points of discussion to be had with appeasing putin. Dismissing it out of hand and talking about NAFO and pickle jars being thrown by grannies and declaring that Russia is running out of missiles (since march) is not helpful.
Still talking up nuclear weapons, that was last weeks propaganda
Why the hell can't your reporters pronounce NUCLEAR???
Truss's ability as a prophet is about as good as her grasp of history, General Relativity or Quantum mechanics. What luck we got rid of her so quickly! She was Foreign Secretary for six months and still doesn't realise that Ukraine is not a democracy!
Keep this up great coverage
I am saddened to think of human beings suffering from so much privation and danger. But I am not in favor of supporting what seems to be a proxy war. The U.S. alone has spent approximately $80 BILLION on Ukraine. How long does this go on? War kills people and destroys resources. Have we lost our collective minds?
Pray for peace. Think about peace. Negotiate for peace.
Listening from Ohio USA. Republican JD Vance is former military and Democrat in the seat currently Tim Ryan has voted with President Biden 100% of the time. People here in Ohio are tired of the 20 year in office Tim Ryan. Ohio will be Red with Vance
"Kind of..", "sort of like…" – is this a professional broadcast or a 6th Form project?
Why would the Russians not use chlorine and sarin? How many Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have gas masks?
But if the drones use commercial GPS, can't their guidance system be subverted by jamming or even purposefully changing the GPS signal coming from the satellites? Just tell them that Kiev is where Moscow actually is…
US report is great!
Great to hear that American tax payers are more interested in inflation than your Ukraine rhetoric…it means this war is finally facing reality…none of the voters voted for Ukraine …they voted politicians who can bring in more dollars to their pockets
The Nordstream was of strategic importance to the UK in destroying it because it takes away the leverage that the Russians have on European Countries…don't deny what your Country did …it attacked civilian infrastructure and Russia has all the right to retaliate…no wonder the Swedes couldn't stomach the reality and opted to keep quiet…the evidence is there
Russia has no interest in bringing down the Nord Stream. By blowing it, Russia looses it's property and means to supply gas. UK is behind the Ukraine bluff. It's a crooked way to Global Britain
What’s all this about Truss texting “Done” to Biden on her unsecured phone? Misinformation?
How many “y’knows” can a listener deal with?
Putin pretending to be moral is as evil as Hitler without any moral base. Russian behavior shows a people destroyed by communism and totalitarianism. They are a people that must face their sins.
Russia is not a civilized country or a moral country, but a failed empire crumbling.
The Supreme Court ruling on abortion merely placed decision making on abortion back in the hands of the 50 state legislatures, where it will still be available in some form or other. The decision didn't outlaw abortion. It merely declared that abortion is not a right guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, which is true enough. That decision on abortion is nowhere near as important as the economy.
Destroying Russia to the point it collapses should be the goal. Never another genocidal Russia. All Russians must pay the price to rebuild Ukraine.

I thought Russia run out of missiles in April

The MAGA Republican doesn't actually care at all about fiscal anything. They might be saying some things right now about fiscal conservatives or this or the other, but they've never shown by any of their bills or even prior to Ukraine any rhetoric towards that. That they are going to go against spending money on Ukraine is a given since they are in essence believers in an authoritarian in this case Russia but in other cases it'll be Hungry or some other country with an authoritarian in leadership. Please do not equate the MAGA Republican with a fiscal conservative… As far as the likelihood of them taking over the whole legislative process, this will be dependent on McCarthy and quite honestly, McConnell who is not in support of reducing Ukrainian packages. That is assuming that 1) Republicans do take the house (I believe unlikely voters are massively underestimated for this election and might in fact swing the house against Republicans) and 2) that it is the MAGA Republican who actually gets the most percentage of seats compared to the rest of the party. Again I think the unlikely voter is massively underestimated in this election and in both cases this could be viewed against them

A billion dollars is not all that large an amount of money, in the context of a war or in the context of the US economy. We spent trillions — not just hundreds of billions, but thousands of billions — on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A billion dollars is less than three dollars per American.
I have been very skeptical of the polls showing that Americans are supportive of Ukraine 🇺🇦 since the very first time they emerged. A lesson from 2016 and 2020 and studying American politics. In addition, Pew Research shows that more Americans are negative on China 🇨🇳 than Russia 🇷🇺
blabla propaganda
fake news almost everything i just heard was a lie
The best solution for the future of energy supply is the construction of Molten Salt Thorium Reactors. Besides providing abundant, cheap electricity, they can provide a myriad of other functions that will completely defuse the Green New Deal. They can be used for producing non-carbon diesel fuels. They can be used to cheaply desalinate seawater, and scrub carbon from the atmosphere. They are safe and can be built anywhere. They can be made small enough to power a car or big enough to power a city. The U.S. has about t a dozen companies that are either ready or near ready to construct them The DOE and NRC take too long to issue licenses for construction. The five-year period could easily be reduced to one or two years. There is no time to waste. here is a four-minute introductory video to MSRs. –

The GOP is likely to end up in control of Congress, which is badly needed in order to deal with the myriad of disastrous dysfunctional policies domestically. Around 75% of Americans support Ukraine and are in favor of continued financial support as well.
Your American correspondent misrepresented the abortion issue. The Supreme Court did not end abortion anywhere. It merely fixed the Constitutional problem of Roe v Wade by returning the issue to the states. Most Democratic voters have figured this out and are focused on inflation, public safety, immigration, re the southern border crisis, and education.
Biden will be impeached in 2023 and no US president ever deserved it more.
The reason for the "no blank check" statements is that in the past conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, such policies invited and resulted in a huge amount of corruption on the ground. We need more oversight this time. Biden spends without a thought of any consequences. He acts as if he can buy power this way.
The large majority of people in Crimea want to be part of Russia, not Ukraine. If anyone has been following this war and honestly believes Russia is going to be ejected from Crimea, I can only suggest widen your sources because it's vastly more likely there'll be the Russian flag going up in Lvov than the Ukrainian flag going up in Sevastopol.
So knocking out the grid and water system is 'genocide'. NATO take note.
Hamish de Breton Gordon is a blatant propagandist and seems totally unaware of NATO's activities over the last twenty years. 'Unencumbered by morals or scruples' sounds like a perfect description of Western activities.
