It's Back! And better? Squale Montauk makes a comeback

The Squale Montauk is back! This exclusive Long Island Watch model came onto the scene at the end of 2020. This 38mm Swiss Made diver was an immediate hit! After selling out, we went back to the drawing board and refreshed the dial and hands to bring you rev 2, and still at the same price!

4 bold new sand dials with matching rubber straps make these the ideal candidate for your next summertime/anytime watch.

  2. Wow! These look absolutely phenomenal! And I can’t think of another dive watch from an established Swiss brand (outside of the Swatch Group) that offers all this for such a comparatively bargain price! I’m sure these will fly off the shelves!

  3. Love the addition of the 3, 6 and 9 markers. This, along with the textured dial, really adds to the vintage look. The grey dial is my favourite, then black, green and, finally, blue. Keep up the great work and keep well 🙂

  4. Wow! These are fantastic!! Now can I resist buying one? I already have the 20 Atmos 1545 and the Sub-3920 Corso Italiano (Whatawatch colab) that really looks a lot like your new Montauk! That green sand dial is a stunner… Update: OK, who am I kidding? I have 0 willpower when it comes to Squale. I just placed my order for the green dial and a bracelet! (time to sell a few of my other watches to offset the $)

  5. I have an original Squale Montauk in the rootbeer dial and the optional bracelet and it is phenomenal. In fact the specs. on this watch are very similar to models on the Squale website costing more than 2X the price of the Montauk. I have worn mine regularly for over a year and the bezel being mineral crystal has been of no concern; in fact Squale uses the very same bezel on some of their more expensive models.

  6. Really are beautiful dials and just overall a harmonic balancer that is easy on the eye!! That gray, green and blue All amazing looking. Anything associated with Islander is a treat! When an educated enthusiast with good taste is involved it can take things to that level we can appreciate very much which has been the case and the fact that they all are tremendous value imho as well.

  9. Very nice looking watches. I have the first iteration of the Montauk. Are you selling these rubber straps separately? Will they fit the original Montauk or are there other straps you would recommend?

  10. They look nice, but I still prefere my original Montauk. Idk something about the brushed rehaut and 10-60 on the dial doesn't do it for me. Just preference.. I do like the new 1545 though, any video reviews on that? Thanks 👍🏻

  11. As a long time fan and patron (a purchaser of many LIW Watches) of Long Island Watch, let me say how much I dislike most of the recent releases. They used to sell watches "that you actually wear" but have disappointingly strayed from that mission /approach as this is yet another "no date" watch AND with a ghost position at that. Also, like one of the recent Breitling models, it has an oversize chapter ring that is wasted real estate, resulting in a smaller than desired dial; you know, the part that tells you the time. Geeze.
