► Cosmoteer Gameplay Overview

Cosmoteer is a starship design, simulation, and battle game. Design a fleet of ships by laying out individual rooms and corridors, including cannons, lasers, shields, and thrusters. Battle other starships to earn bounties and use that money to expand your own ship. A dynamic crew and combat simulation makes every design decision important and interesting.

► Cosmoteer Gameplay Features

Design the greatest starship ever made using an interface that is easy-to-learn yet incredibly flexible.

Build your ship by placing individual modules onto a grid—weapons, shields, engines, reactors, crew’s quarters, and more! Few restrictions and no pre-defined, creativity-limiting hull shapes mean you can create almost any ship you can imagine.

The exterior of a ship is like an artist’s canvas, but it requires no drawing ability to make your ship look great! Simply pick a color and texture to customize your ship’s basic appearance, then optionally add decals such as shapes, symbols, and letters to give it extra visual flourish. Painting your ship is free and has no effect on gameplay.

You are a bounty hunter, traveling from sector to sector, hunting down renegade enemies and destroying them.

Earn money for every enemy vanquished. Use your income to repair and upgrade your own fleet, growing bigger and more powerful with every victory.

Explore a galaxy in search of bigger and more powerful enemies. The galaxy will crumble before your almighty armada!

Or play in a creative sandbox mode with unlimited credits if being a bounty hunter isn’t your cup of Earl Grey—the only limit is your imagination! (And the power of your computer.)

  1. I recommend a pure storage/factory ship and a combat ship with just a few storage areas. (try to aim for 12-20people on the storage ship for a while) Keep in mind engine rooms need 2 people to run them, so on smaller ships just using walkways is better to save on crew (and use the largest reactors)

  2. Voice: Too quiet. The amount of volume I had to add means that you can easily put in like 4db.
Endcard Music was, of course, way too loud. That could be toned down around 4db.

The general "rule of thumb" I figured out for myself is: -12db for music, -8db for voice.
The general rule of thumb is -12db for everything. You can choose.

    Here are the general tropes:
    – Headphone users hear everything just fine
    – People that are constantly setting their volume for each and every video also will never complain
    – Those who are used to good mastered audio usually will not complain because nobody likes giving critique.
    – Those using monitor/box setups will be much happier (although never commenting on that)

You're fun to watch. Voice reminds me a bit of Larry Jr. "Heeellloooo you" 🙂

    Stay crunchy.

  3. Apologies for the slightly quieter voice in this one! My mic is trying to decide whether it wants to live or die. . I will get the next one much better prepped. I would take this one down but apaprently a lot of you have already snuck in and watched it *suspicious eyes*. Next one better vocals!

  4. If you click the 3 horizontal bars icon when in combat with a ship, you can "save attack pattern"… so you don't have to manually set the attack distance every time, you can just right click to attack.

  5. Nice video. H.E. Missiles yet again proving that they have stayed overpowered in the Steam release.

Anyways I'm going to my slumber again. Wake me up when FallenShogun runs out random Grand Admiral Thrawn pics to plaster onto his thumbnails…

  6. Whelp, now I need to try missiles. I'm still learning what works when and where, and just trying to reliably get through first system. Love lasers, but trying to get cannons working.
