D. Carr is the biggest problem on the Raiders, he's the QB.
I think a lot of it is that this is a complex playbook and the team is still learning it. As far as Carr's injury goes, he has always played through them. He played his entire junior year at Fresno State with a hernia, because if he would have had surgery he would not have been able to play. We saw him get 2 dislocated fingers and come back into the game. I don't know how bad this back injury is, but he said it was affecting his play so it is not just a sore back. This last game I think we were overconfident and the Saints punched us in the mouth. We weren't expecting that and they had us reeling for the entre game. There were some bad calls in my opinion as well. Handing off to Adams on 3rd and 1 instead of handing it to Jacobs comes to mind. Adams lost a yard and then we tried a fake punt when the Saints were already pumped up for stopping us on 3rd and 1. Our biggest issue is our defense. We need to concentrate on defense in this next draft. Our secondary is decent at man but sucks at zone. Our linebackers are mediocre at best and our DT's just plain suck. The good news is aside from this last game, we came close to winning every game. Sometimes a team can use a game like this past one as a wake up call. Let's hope the Raiders do just that.
Next QB up might be a better fit for the game bench carr
carr is a career coach killer plain and simple regardless of any injuries, he’s the only one who never gets fired, and adams been disappointing dropping balls in crucial times and not tip toeing the side line at least three times this year also at crucial times
They are downplaying it, but don't trust QB Jarrett Stidham to starrt, or the defence to hold it down for an entire game … and it will hurt the Raiders … this is the importnance of a solid backup, and a weakness of the complexity of a Josh McDaniel offence. its just arrogance at this point, Honcho.
I blame the coach for the Raider’s sorry performance. He’s trying to make every fit his vision instead of forming his vision around ppl’s playing strengths. I think this season is a wash.

I believe that once they got to the end of preseason, they realized that they didn't have the players = O & D Lines, LBs, DBs to make a legitimate run at the Superbowl. Then they decided that they would tank to get a Top5 draft pick in every round, and they would lock-in their best players so they couldn't just leave, then they would build the team that THEY WANT, and that would mean they would have to build through the draft, keep the stars that fill the stands to keep Davis happy, because he only cares about the money side until they can build a team with McDaniels' and Graham's team that has the chance to become a Dynasty.
Sadly, that means gutting this team.

I love Carr, always have this regime has done him wrong. they would never in a million years say that they want to win a game for him, like the Saints said about Dennis Allen.
I think that is the difference between a coach that can win with a subpar team in his 1st year, compared to a coach like McDaniels that isn't inspiring, isn't a leader of men and won't win until he builds his own team.

I was wandering about the back injury during that game. Carr was a statue back there. I always want them to play the guys they think have the best chance of winning. I am curious of who made the decision to play Carr. Did Carr downplay his injury and play because he is afraid what might happen if he sits out or was it a coach decision based on a injured Carr is better than healthy Jarret? I do not know why teams insist on playing hurt qb's. The browns did it with baker last year. I think it was 2 years ago the saints decided to start Drew in the playoffs when he couldn't throw the ball further than 10 yards. when it happens people usually speak to the qb's toughness. I think some of that is BS and is the qb's weakness and fear that he will be replaced.
If he's hurt Then he needs to sit plane and simple. Sick of excuse after excuse. Raiders are great at making every team they play look like a Super Bowl contender and the opposing QB is a HOF candidate.
