spacex starship mars launch, elon musk news, inside spacex starship
source
The entire Starship scam has been completely and thoroughly debunked. Much like all of Musk's other scams.
I wonder how long Musk’s starship scam will continue before it collapses in a heap.
This will be hard and people may die, the first ones may have it the hardest.
There is no one to help you on Mars except your crewmates. But it is a step humans need to take, and some brave people are going to take them and many of those will have hearts full of hope and optimism. If able, I may go, by then I will probably be an engineer or scientist, as I plan on doing those courses in the near future, and will have something to contribute. The fact this is even something we can do is amazing, all it takes now is doing it.
Mars for the rich
the most important question: How will be the WIFI quality on the trip to mars ???
I dunno, I prefer to think there are other life forms out there in the universe that would make better colonisers of Mars than humans. Given how we treat Earth. Elon is too emotionally underdeveloped to understand how human nature will thoroughly destroy his vision.
I'm thinking Musk should make a solo trip just to show everyone how safe it is…and all his ex employees can be there at launch to see him off
Hi, I really like the channel. BUT this episode is pure fantasy. Everybody who knows a little about space flight and the Musks mars plan knows that the time frame is absurd. In fact I highly doubt that Star ship will ever bring people to mars.
I wish I could be the first person in Mars. I Figure if I die there, that would be an amazing thing to see before I die.
Starships are meant to fly.
Musk stanning on main. Ooof.
Artemis by NASA will reach Mars well before SpaceX even performs a manned flight, mark my word
We can build this dream together, standing strong forever, nothing's gonna stop us now.
A trip on Starship changes you by making you mentally deficient enough to think Elon Musk is anything but a vapourware salesman
We will never make a serious colony on Mars. I am confident of this. If any human goes there they will probably die there. A human inhabiting another planet will soon miss earth, because earth is OUR HOME. It is where our family and our heart is. This Mars colony fantasy is entirely delusional makes no sense despite smart people behind it. If you simply take 5 to 10 minutes to think about it, rationally, you will easily realize Mars colony makes no sense. The fantasy is a sort of growing addiction and hype. Sorry not sorry. Earth is where humans will live for a very long time.
sounds nightmarish
After the news that an asteroid hit mars and formed mountains came out, I wouldn't be as excited to go there
Why couldn't there be an ion drive that attaches to the main starship (assembled in orbit) that provided acceleration and deceleration, even just a little, moon level or less, that would make the trip faster and much easier?
Who did the piano version of "Zombie" by the Cranberries that you used as the musical score in the first half?
Its so incredibly different, yet magical in its own way.
Is it royalty-free? Where can I get a copy to use in my Youtube videos as well? Thanks !
Wow! Thank you!
Why not focus on something actually realistic? Why not focus on something like NASA's SLS program? That program has way more potential than some billionaire's dream of sending people to die on a barren rock (implying they ever get there lol)
They can just include like a dietary plan of harvest plants, fruits and vegetables during the travel. Water can be generated from filtered treated liquids.
There is no way 100 people is feasible even in 100 years.only 4 or max 5 .
To sum up – We weren’t made to live in space or Mars so we have no business going there. We’ve got too many problems here on earth that needs to be solved.
The best case scenario for space exploration would be space x and other similar billionaire pet projects failing miserably, and governments funding their space programs exponentially better than they currently are. Publicly funded space travel unmotivated by capital is absolutely essential.
Humans will never make it to Mars. Never. Ever. We need gravity, an atmosphere, a planet with a living core!
Can we stop giving Elon musk credit for spacex, please?
SpaceX?
That phrase is enough to not watch the rest of the video
For 6 months I think the absoulte maximum for this kind of space is 10 people. Not 100.
If its 100 they will soon have mental breakdowns without the ability to go "outside" in any kind of way.
Also, with just 10 people, many of the systems they use can be built redundant. All facilitys people need have to be there in a multiple of the people using them and so on.
I have a book called Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson… who knows science fiction could be science fact? (5/11/2022) 🚀
The chance of Starship being rated for carrying humans is zero. Claims like the one near the start of this video that a version of Starship could carry humans to Mars within a decade are ludicrous. Elon Musk is clever and charming but he very often cannot deliver what he promises.
Please explain to me how to modify Starship so that it is safe for human spaceflight. I don’t see how it’s possible. I’m certain that a major re-design would be essential, one that essentially makes it a new spacecraft.
why do we not live closer to the north pole or antarctic ? maybe because its to hostile for permanent living ? science explorations are understandable to those places for a few weeks but no long living . and it sure aint no vacation location. but we would want to go to harsher environments with no use for us here? for what purpose?
Yikes, somebody really drank the Muskrat Kool-Aid. So much for your scientific credibility Astrum.
Never going to happen..
Who would be taking a one way trip.
Elon please take Amber with you! Chur ⛳
We will become the Martian Americans
Undervolting nvidia for a lower power consumption? Good.
How about underpricing nvidia next time?
pretty sure it will be more usefull for a lot of people
Not just spending a lot of time with those people, but the rest of your life time
Yeah, is Established Titles a scam or just something else to stroke the ego?
Both???
There are a few things I think will be / need to be different than this video states:
1. Starship engine firing – Firing the 6 engines at different times to achieve orbit just cannot work. The vacuum engines cannot gimble and so cannot keep the rocket stage on course on their own. Only the sea level optimized engines can gimble. Then there is the whole thrust issue. The 3 vacuum engines just don't produce enough thrust for when stage separation happens. You simply need more thrust to 'hang' against gravity while getting up to speed.
2. Crew capacity – The total pressurizable space in Starship is greater than a Boeing 747. The thing with a Boeing 747 is you don't need to lean back the chairs for a high vertical G take-off. You do for Starship, which means each seat is going to need more like business class space or more. This is where the 100 to 200 seats come in, especially the 200 seat configuration is it is basically a short duration 'airline' style flight. No way you are hauling this many people to Mars in such a configuration. Just all of the stuff you need to bring says no, this couldn't work. Maybe 25 people could fit with all of their stuff to stay alive for a trip to Mars, but not 100 and certainly not 200. These higher capacities are only for a quick shuttle into orbit where you dock with a vessel of some sort ASAP after launching as in basically an airliner style flight to a destination in LEO.
3. This whole notion of flying back from Mars on Starship doesn't actually make any sense. It takes a lot to refill a 9m wide rocket like Starship on Mars. If you try via solar power, you could be looking at 1,000+ launches from Earth for every 1 Starship returning years later. There is just no sense in that. This quickly turns into advanced and nuclear propulsion and power in order to get efficiencies up to somewhere where you could make this work within reason. But at this point you are no longer really talking about just flying Starship out, but instead specialized ships for the journey and 4th generation fission nuclear power plants for the power density to make some sort of sense while also boosting the reliability of the power plant.
4. Going on from #3, traveling on a bunch of independent Starships really makes no sense for the masses. It makes a whole lot more sense for large, specialized transfer ships to make the trip to and from Mars. Even landing on Mars it may be far better to have specialized ships for various landing tasks and levels of reusability. Even this video points of some of the reasons why just using Starship for the transfer is a bad idea.
