Crystal meth has never been a European problem. For years, reports of the drug ravaging communities and fuelling week-long binges almost exclusively came from North America and South-East Asia. But there are increasing signs that meth is becoming much more popular in cities from Barcelona to Berlin.
Organised crime groups are now mass producing the drug in Europe, and it’s stronger and more available on the continent than ever before. From 2010 to 2020, the amount of methamphetamine seized in the EU increased by 477 per cent.
In this episode, we go to Germany, to see how crystal meth manufactured in Dutch super labs is taking the country by storm, finding users in sex workers, techno and hardtek party kids, and people who were looking for something to do during the coronavirus lockdown, and ended up finding meth.

It must all be imported because where do you “cook” it in Europe? The UK definitely isn’t big enough for people to be cooking meth in isolated places. You would see it from miles away.

Had my run of it back when I lived in a trailer park that was eventually marked as a zone and eventually leveled and turned into a green space. Can't say I much like the stuff giving all the chaos and mayhem I've seen it cause many of my friends and associates.. if it wasn't some kind of mental illness they got from it,it was kidney and liver damage amongst other things like legal trouble, relationship trouble and a all out broken spirit. Hopefully the people of Germany wise up to it quick.

Ok someone let me know if I have this wrong. I don't think I have though. Ok came up with meth or ever what you choose to call it. So why is it such a surprise over there? A lot of this crap this dude doing this video said and some of the people in it said is BS. I hate it when facts aren't put out there and a bunch of hog wash is. I used meth for years. Got tired of the life and quit. Never the less folks tell the damn truth. No I didn't go to rehab and and I didn't have DT's. I know I was and still am as shocked as shocked as you who might be reading this too. In fact it should have killed me when I quit because I had done so much of it for so long. Over the years people I've seen and been around it doesn't do everyone the same way. Now that's what I noticed over the years. (I'm 54) I got clean 9 years ago and haven't looked back. I a few other folks like that too. A of warning though folks don't believe everything in these videos like this because it's just not a fact or try about everyone that uses meth or any drug for that matter. So im from Bulgaria and to be honest like 8 out of 10 people have used it or still use it regularly…. i tried and smoke it from time to time( once every other month) and while im high is all good but coming down from that is a real nightmare and very unhealthy… like you cant sleep or eat for at least a day…. in my country i can say that we already have the meth epidemic since couple of years… its really sad but everyone decides for themself… im prefering normal weed and cocaine since they are "plant" based but these days the cooks tend to mix other stuff which enhances the feeling of being "high"…

If the pre-teens are involved it is as couriers at most. Yes were I grew up in Teeside, there was a club called Colloseum in an old church, they played hardcore techno and some happy hardcore, most my friends from school would go there and dance all night after taking ectasy pills such as mitsubishis, double doves, bentleys and so on and our ages were 13 to 17, much like the rest of the club.. So I know all about kids and drugs.. There used to be a cloakroom run by the bouncers. And kids would work on there directly monitored by the security. Some of my friends worked on there and made £600 plus a night, they would also work around the club selling the pills, 3 for a £10 was the going rate at the time. But pre 13 year old. I don't think so. Perhaps being driven around in a car and sent on little missions. But at that age, they spend all the money on more drugs and just splurge it on all their friends showing off. This is not a good look for gangs selling drugs. Bait as fOOk. PS Any reference to any crimes is complete fantasy and hearsay.

Once again a documentary about drugs by people who don't do the drug! I've been an avid crystal meth smoker for the last 12 years and I can say without a doubt it's the complete opposite of this feckless Vice documentary is saying! The original ingredient that gave meth The zing and euphoric filling was pseudoephedrine which back in the day was very easy to get over the counter and boy was that dope strong but today the recipe has been throttled to a potency 40 to 60% weaker then the old school stuff which I think is great because if I wasn't picking my face in front of a mirror I was on top of the roof with my dad's rifle thinking that the shadows were coming for me

Maybe I am not the best judge on the subject since I don't go out very often, but here in Québec City, Canada, I saw crystal meth for the first time about 6 months ago… Before that people were still doing very cheap speed pills, and my prediction is that, in a year from now, everybody will be on crystal ! As soon as they get their first taste, they will be sold for good and start craving for more… Mark my words !
