I really, really, enjoy playing with this preset, and I think you might too, so I wanted to show you what’s going on with it, so that you can have fun with it too, but also there’s room to tweak some bits, switch out amps etc….Let me know if you’ve enjoyed this one too?

Please leave a comment if you find this type of preset build useful, so that I know to keep making them!

  1. Thanks. Interesting that we took slightly different approaches. I used a low cut on Path B and high cut on Path A going into harmonic trem on each side so you have a slow tremolo on the low frequencies and faster on the higher frequencies.
    Both ways create interesting results.

  2. Beautiful intro. Harmonic Trem is my favourite type of modulation on clean guitar, especially with that stereo width. You should check out the Keeley Hydra if you haven't already, really lovely trem and reverb pedal, sounds fantastic. Their Eccos delay is fantastic too

  3. This sounds awesome man, I've been looking to upgrade and thought that the Helix might be a little old but I love how it sounds. If I do buy the LT, it's because of your presets 😎

  4. I wish we could find a stereo LFO/pan pedal. In my mind it should be not that difficult to conceive and many ambient guitarists would welcom it. BOSS and Behringer had pan-tremolo pedals but they're discontinued for years now.

  5. Excellent playing as always. I love tremolo – to me, it’s the most evergreen modulation effect. Other modulations can sometimes signal an era (chorus, vibe, phaser) but tremolo has been used in every decade and every genre. And it’s a lot more interesting than folks give it credit for if you aren’t afraid of different wave shapes, rates, and syncing it. Great work man

  6. Tremolo is one of those evergreen effects for me. I love it on noisy guitar that's feeding back. I don't know which one I use in the stomp, but it sounds very good on the patch I use to cover REM's Crush With Eyeliner.

  7. I’ve been learning more solo chord melody stuff and I find keeping a very subtle trem effect on really brings life to a rubato ballad, especially when you let a note hang out there. When you get back into the piece it kind of fades away on its own.

  8. Beautiful. This is one effect where digital is much better. I still have a 1974 MusicMan amp which has opto (analog) tremolo built in – huge tremolo. I never used it much as a trem effect but I did find it useful in very VERY low amounts to thicken up solo work. This was long before I ever owned a compressor – which does that job better. Anyone else ever do that?
