  4. We shouldn't engage in the kind of cult of personality that prevents us from criticizing beloved lefty public figures like Jon Stewart when they're wrong. The left is not impervious to disinformation–that should be obvious after the 2016 Democratic primary and the following Bernie or Bust movement (cursing us with the likes of Jimmy Dore and Glen Greenwald.) Hell, even Noam Chomsky has embraced Russian propaganda targeting the left. It continues to divide our voting bloc and sabotage support for Ukraine.

  13. I liked Jon Stewart on the Daily Show but he was always a right-leaning centrist who only appeared liberal by the standards of far-right conservatives and the idiot media. And even then, he had a team of writers making him smart and funny.

    That’s why he was never as funny doing interviews and I hated watching him interview conservatives because he rarely pushed back properly. Now he believes his own hype as a liberal statesman and routinely does little research on what he’s talking about.

  14. Heard from multiple sources, that Biden told Americans in China to stop helping them with chip technology & to quit working there, or lose American citizenship. Supposedly, it hurt China worse than T**** did in 4 years. Without the technology, their chip industry is now at a stand-still. (according to a guy just back from China.) (Ghina?) Possibly worth delving deeper as other news sources are not carrying this.

  17. This is why the Democractic Party loses elections. There is always some asshole with a big reach, like Stewart who sometimes use their Sphere of influence for good, but they get cocky with power and do absolutely mind numbing stupid shit, like launch an attack against their own party leaders before one of the most critical elections of modern times. I don't know what the truth is about Hunter Bidens laptop and neither does John Stewart. A good Democratic Party member would be verbally haunting that SOB for overshooting his self importance. WTF does Stewart accomplish with this bullshit. I think he accomplishes a Republican Party victory.
    And Stewart does this with absolutely no knowledge of a single fact.
    This is why D's lose and will always lose. On it's face John Stewart seems smart. But………….

  19. Unqualified? Yale Law School grad attorney Robert Hunter Biden, that guy?

    Georgetown University (BA)
    – Yale University (JD)
    – US Navy Officer
    – Vice Chairman of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation under Bush
    – Co-founded international consulting firm
    – Exec Vice President, MBNA Ban

    Hunter Biden did not “work for Burisma;” he sat on the board of directors. That’s a much-different position.

    Having an American Juris Doctor sitting on a board of directors of a relatively-new democracy is neither inappropriate nor inadvisable.

    Hunter Biden was employed as a lawyer at the firm Boies Schiller Flexner, an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, and CEO of an investment firm he co-founded.

    He was also chairman of the board of World Food Program USA, the NFP that won a Nobel Peace Prize.

    Now do Trump's kids.

Russian and Chinese spies all over his hotels (not "homes") where stolen govt secrets were kept. Magats are utter fools and their leaders are criminals, almost every single one.
