  1. Always check your candy. Once when I'd gotten home (I lived in a suburban area in texas at the time, spiders would be out in the street sometimes) I'd dumped my candy onto a table and a full scale rubber tarantula fell out. And little 8 year old me had refused to leave my room for the next hour. How I didn't notice? It was so dark outside that I only later realized whoever did that had covered the rubber spider in large candy.

  2. I REALLY hope there were no fines for the families that decorated. The problem lies with people who AT HALLOWEEN don’t realize it’s a decoration, on SOMEONE ELSE’S property. You’re allowed to decorate however you want on your property.

  3. Trick or treating was made by neighborhoods to prevent pranks. Like getting egged and road hazards. Also made in honor of the old tradition of Souling, where kids were do prayers for those in purgatory in return for spiced cakes. Interesting to know that whenever I ate candy from trick or treating I was offering prayers to those who passed away. That's what it felt like to me, even now. To halloween grinches give candy or you'll be sorry
