IMO. Temtems main problem is presumption. It presumes you’re fully committed. As such, it draws out its jokes, is self aware, and often comes off to me as poorly planned out. Like the cosmetic banners are going to bring back the players they’ve lost🙄 Showdown is cool, but why would anyone play anyone else play ladder?? Unless you can’t play other people it’s infinitely easier to just plug and play the tems you want. Someone suggested having choice of what arena you battle in MONTHS ago and suggested using the backgrounds that exist. Instead of listening, they made 6 (arguable less cool looking) new backgrounds. Just use the dojo ones! Temtem has lost me. Unless there are some major changes I don’t see many people sticking with it. (Also a panning camera is cool, but again kind of unnecessary).

I forgot this game even existed when it was like in beta.
I'm conflicted with how competitive is being handled. On one hand Showdown is going to make it really accessible, which is a good thing, but at the same time part of the fun for competitive(to me at least) is the process of acquiring the team. I like how it works now where they scale your SVs to 50 so you don't have to acquire perfect temtem or do a ton of breeding. But I also like the accessibility of showdown to a degree. I'm just not sure how I feel about it on the whole.
At least now we don't have to continuously grind for pansun but it feels too little too late late it coming after scarlet violet unless the game still sucks

I bought Tem Tem and was waiting on updates that would make the game more appealing. I am interested in trying it out single player, but the fact it's multiplayer is pro-centric and is not friendly to new players and casual players is highly intimidating. Might just play a short bit solo and wait on future updates that make multiplayer look more appealing.
