🔺 Our Mission 🔺
Founded in 1997 in Cedar City Utah, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and education.
_Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release_
The Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah (SWF) cares for more than 100 sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife annually. Restoring them to health and returning them to the wild is our primary goal.
_Informing, Educating and Inspiring_
The SWF provides over 100 educational programs reaching over 30,000 people annually. We believe providing educational outreach programs to schools, scout groups and community events, with focus on children and families, will make the greatest impact in preserving our wildlife, the environment, our public lands and our resources for future generations to enjoy.
_Martin Tyner_
Since age twelve, with a bird on his arm, Martin has captivated audiences sharing his knowledge and experience of his wildlife friends.
At age nineteen, Martin was hired as curator of birds of prey at Busch Gardens, CA. He also worked in the movie and television industry training big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors.
“One of my greatest childhood fantasies was the desire to create a personal friendship with a wild eagle. I found myself with a love and fascination for these powerful creatures.”
Martin Tyner is a federally licensed falconer, eagle falconer, wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife propagator, and wildlife and environmental educator.
He has been providing wildlife and environmental programs throughout the western United States, to schools, scouts and community groups for over fifty years.
“Grandpa believed in a very simple philosophy; that a person should get up every morning and do good. Doing good means that you do well for others and doing well means that you do good for yourself. There is nothing wrong with doing well, but Grandpa always believed in doing good.”
Martin’s book, Healer of Angels, reflects back on his life: from a young boy terrified of birds to becoming the first man in North America licensed to train a wild golden eagle in the ancient art of falconry.
Through a heartwarming collection of true stories he describes his challenging transformation from a shy dyslexic teenager, to the founder and CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation.

37:33 That is the best part .. watching them fly away and knowing they are all as happy as a reptile can be.
The heroes of the world !! 👍🏻👍🏻
They were so hungry when you first got them. And under your care, they grew to be beautiful grown falcons. What a treat to witness this! Thanks for sharing their story.
Is five a lot for a Kestrel brood?
If you wanted to, could you change their instinctive behavior of bonking since you’re giving each one equal amounts of food? And if you were to “discipline” the bonker wouldn’t that change that behavior??
This channel makes me so happy
Oh how I love to see this, thank you for helping and releasing them back where they belong. In the Netherlands they are called toren valkjes. Awesome video.🤗💞🇳🇱
You guys are the best!!! Thank you for being so kind to the baby falcons.
Gotta love this guy, and what he does
Warming my heart. Kestrels have always been one of my favorite birds and seeing these little guys grow up and fly away brought a smile to me. Especially when I learned a couple of days ago an adorable female Kestrel I knew at the rescue I used to volunteer at passed away suddenly. 5 new Kestrels free in the world. ❤
This world needs more heroes. Thank you for caring for these adorable babies. Sending healing, loving energy to all beings (especially non humans) and to all who protect them. 🙏🏻💫❤️
Another great video tyvm 🙂
Such a shame for the parent birds to have the nest destroyed.
Do you give them live prey before releasing to teach them.
Yeah I raised a kestrel. They are fun… Lived 7 yrs.
Wonderful program. I'm impressed how you care for them and help them. Glad to see wonderful people like yourselves doing stuff like this. There is kindness in humans still with everything bad going on in the world today. Love love this program.
"Some of the prettiest birds on the planet." No argument here.
Wonderful!
What a wonderful story. Thank you!
I hear alot of "don't intervene with nature" but chopping the tree wasn't natural. I appreciate when humans intervene and help out the little guy.
Such beautiful babies
I always love watching Martin pick out the exact spot that he wants to release the birds at. It's fun to watch.! He has a definite area he wants to release them in. Size of the bird doesn't really matter but the location of where he's releasing them does 😁
I love the way baby birds look constantly surprised
Один Один птенец остался голодный ,ему не досталась мяса ,тот что в спредине.
Вообще-то вы молодцы, что помогаете таким птицам и они не погибли.
I'm sorry but I think they won't be able to survive because they don't know how to hunt animals.
So it's very difficult to raise and return them to
the nature.
That person that faithfully sends that check, u know they are literally budgeting in their donation every month. That means alot. What a beautiful thing. Could be someone on social security or anything. Thats beautiful. Ty for thanking them publicly.
Gosh these guys are just so beautiful
😍😍😍😍😍
Oh man, he’s good with that net.
**THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO**
***GOD BLESS YOU ALL FAMILY***
Thank you so much for helping wildlife.
Great work! That was awesome!
I can't help thinking the babies would be more comfortable/less afraid if they had something at least part of the way around that glass tank to cut off the sight of movement all around them. More like the limited enclosed space in the nest. When I'm raising baby birds I try to get a close as possible to what they would be experiencing with a mother. Like hanging a feather duster over a box of chicks so they can hide in the feathers like they would with a hen. It seems to help. But whatever works and what do I know.
People can be insensitive I am glad you were somehow or ever able rescue these precious little ones. I have no doubt Sue and you will give these chicks every chance to thrive . I Love you guys so much.
Such cute sweet babies. I hope they all grow up big and strong and survive back into the wild where they belong…
I will pray for those birds to make it out there in the world. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Just curious but what happened to their parents in the first place?
So cute as babies, and beautiful as adults. Your video really cheered me up today. Thank you. Lucky birds to have found you to help them out!
Thanks Martin! So beautiful!!!
Thank you for your important work! 🙏🇺🇸
Fly?? How the hell do we do this?
@Webgeek; can you please delete the spammer under several comments? Thank you. 💪🇳🇱
What sweetness these little Hawks. It's a exceptional video. Thank you!! 💕🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥💕🥰
Hey I’m from India and I’ve rescued a changeable hawk eagle. I love your videos and learn from them a lot. In India where falconry now is illegal we dont get much help as falconers in order to train our birds or have proper vets and supplements. Recently I’ve rescued a changeable hawk eagle who was kept in a small cage. When I got it, I thought I’m going to train then release it back to the wild. But she’s having broken feathers and some behavioural issues I can’t get right. If possible I would love to have a talk with you about my bird. I really want to get this bird right. I am looking for your help as an animal lover. If possible I would appreciate your whatsaap/ snapchat or somewhere we can talk in person. Looking forward to your help. And a big thanks for all your videos that helped many of us.
Thank you…
英語が苦手なので、あれですが、この可愛い雛達はなんでしょうか ? 隼でしょうか ?
So sweet thank you for your kindness
baby kestrel chicks are adorable ❤
sorry if you said this and i missed it, but do you know what happened to the parents?
as always, thank you for all you do to help the critters.
