Why is Gibson is getting pushed out of the RB1 role on the team?
First, he is not hitting the holes inside the tackles that Turner and Rivera wants. He seems to miss them too often and does run through them decisively.
Second, he fumbles a bit too much for the OCs liking. And had a bit of fumbling during the preseason.
So instead, the initial goal was for the Commanders to use him more like a flex back and line him up all over the formation. Work plays to give him the ball in open space and work the magic. Meanwhile Robinson, a player who was a true RB coming out of college could handle the early down work.
When he makes the team they gonna call him Hard to Kill
