Hurricane Ian: Coast Guard releases video of incredible rescues

Coast Guard crews have been rescuing people stranded in communities in Florida devastated by Hurricane Ian. An aircrew on an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Miami spent much of Thursday pulling residents and their pets from flooded neighborhoods on Sanibel Island. Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Kilbane captured remarkable video from a camera mounted on his helmet.

  1. Incredible rescues 'would have been saving people on Linda Loma who were still flooded and surrounding areas. They literally flew right by people on their roofs to get to get to Sanibel first.
The news is so scared to show the truth.
I know not everything can get covered but ffs man.
These are not incredible rescues. These are feel good rescues.

  2. Tyler is awesome, he gets on a first name basis with them so they feel a bit more at ease. He did such a good job. Thank you to the Coast Guard and all of the first responders who helped in the Florida rescues. I live in Missouri and can't imagine the hell that the Florida residents endured thru Ian. God bless and stay safe always. πŸ™β€πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²
