Most faithful??? So we’re going back to the guy who said a father would never have a bond with his child enough to go after them and was too feminine in the games so he couldn’t be a man. And he’s gonna handle the story of sh2.

For the life of me, I don't know where they would make a sequel to a forgotten 2006 movie that got terrible reviews. Reboot it, start from scratch.
I actually enjoyed the first Silent Hill film it was scary and I totally think if a sequel can be better than the original than it will be a total blast.
That comment "Why they dont nuke the place if everyone knows its bad" is from someone who dont know lore about Silent Hill. I will skip explaining how it became cursed. Silent Hill is an ordinary town for people without guilt, worst sins and hatred, but for those who have all those things, town is going to manifest those sins and guilt into something real, that will hunt, torture and make people to change perspective about themselves and about what they did. For you example, it can be deserted town, quiet and peacefull, but for other person can be dark, scary and place full of death, after curse of that town reaches your soul, heart and thougths, and negative things that you need to pay for, will become something psychicall.
The first silent hill movie was actually really well done. Im glad the director is back. Revelations was garbage.
Well, Silent Hill 2 has almost nothing to do with the first game. The direct sequel to the first SH is SH3 which was already adapted into Silent Hill: Revelations. Silent Hill 2 is mostly it’s own self contained story. It’s not like the new sequels to old movies taking the same characters and older actors and bringing them back. That all being said, Silent Hill 2 is one of my favorite games with one of my favorite soundtracks, so I’m excited to see how they adapt it.
Love the show but guys need to reseach more about storys on videogames there are lot with amazibg stories, Silet hill , resident evil, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, God of war etc.
Let's just say if the movie is gonna be based on the second game, and they'd be character-swapping James Sunderland with Sean Bean's character from the first movie, we might have actual gold

The interesting thing about the Silent Hill games…….is they are based on a REAL LIFE AMERICAN TOWN.
The first film was absolutely beautiful. Its set design, Akira's music, and the details are exactly like the game. the use of practical effects, everything about it was just great. All the silent hill news just makes me so damn happy
I remember the first silent hill movie, it traumatized me. I had the option to stop watching it but I decided to watch it thrue and got nightmares
I really liked the first one. Full of dread and chills. Quite intrigued for this one. This director put in a lot of work into that first movie and one of the few movies to please the video game company.
Silent hill is not a physical place. It’s a realm. You can’t evaporate it from earth with nuke.
This is a psychological horror with a pretty dark story.
Movies adapted from videogames have never been successful.
That being said, there are only 2 noteable exceptions, Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie and Mortal Kombat, starring Christopher Lambert.
Everything that came before and after has never been good. At all.
If anyone thought that the first movie was a good adaptation of the game, congrats on never have ever played the games. Or at the very least, understood them.
I'd rather like to see an adaptation of the PT game that would have become Silent Hills.
