  1. Looking specifically at the Far Cry 5 ending, it actually is brought up in Far Cry 6. Spoilers going ahead in my comment here. If you play though the Pagan Min DLC, Pagan himself actually explains that he has a stockpile of nuclear weapons pointed at "Montana or something" just to act as a middle finger towards the U.S. In the end, Far Cry: New Dawn is the only portion that becomes non-canon, which is fitting given that ND was essentially a spin off as it is.

  2. I love how Star Wars shows people's stupidity…..like, a guy becomes a mass murderer and then he just gets a mask, some psycho calls him darth vader and voilà, nobody will blame anakin (she even acknowledges him as war hero here)….like "oh my god🥺 it's anakin 🥺 all is forgiven dude….it wasn't you who did this🙏 it was vader…..everyone, don't blame anakin 🥺 he's innocent 🥺"

If it was real life, he would be like a school schooter who killed minors. And then he would become even more psycho just so that he can crawl ass to another psycho who is more psycho then himself.

    😆😆😆

  3. Untrue, the ending of despair disconnects everyone from the erd tree. Meaning no more revivals or reincarnations. It's the equaliser ending, everyone is tainted equally, no more Lords. Whereas the Death Rune ending simply removes immortality and reincarnations.

  4. I think the key to the far cry entries is that the "real" ending is the secret endings you can get by doing nothing at all at the start of the game. Something something, violence begets violence etc.

  5. At ME3 the only ending that put you in a rought spot it's destruction, in Syntesis and control you directly end with the repears assistance to rebuild everything and go beyond, and even in destruction you can repair the relays and FTL travels still exits to go for resources in close systems and you can see some characters of your crew go on with their lifes like Zaeed, Miranda or Kasumi

  6. The entire Drakengard/Nier franchise is a work in 'worse than you thought' endings, each subsequent entry taking things one step further into the abyss of existential dread, all set to a beautiful soundtrack. Love that mask-wearing weirdo Yoko Taro.

  7. If the GTA Easter Egg is to be believed, Jack Marston eventually did become a writer and lived until he was in his 90's. I like to think that John and Abigail would be thrilled to know their boy made something of himself.

  8. Have to disagree slightly with ME3. The fuse ending in particular ends in hope since the Reapers, the CREATORS of the Mass Relays, can rebuild them. And since you're now effectively a human/robot hybrid, your need for actual sustenance I imagine drops way down.

  9. I'm both amused and disillusioned by Jess's take on SoW. Just what exactly were people expecting going into the game? That you'd break the continuity of the Lord of the Rings mythos? And then there's her "and then the movies happen."

I'm guessing the books were too much of a slog to read.

  10. Life is Strange. You spent several very emotional chapters, making choices with huge consequences… all for none of that to matter. In the end it came down a single choice, the same choice no matter what you did before. And if you chose to save Chloe… the town is destroyed. The last scene is driving through the ruins. Undoubtedly many people died in the storm, including friends and family. Max has to live knowing she sacrificed all those lives to save one person. Chloe has to live knowing all those lives were sacrificed for her.

  11. The end of Red Dead Redemption is perfect. I think John Marston knows he isn't going to make it out alive. Therefore, the entire game is a spiritual journey for him to die as a man who has spent his last years learning loyalty and some degree of integrity. It is for this reason that the game has had such an impact on my own spiritual journey. I have yet to find another video game series that deals with these themes so powerfully. I have done so much I regret in my life and my addiction. The rest of my life is not about becoming wealthy and successful as much as it is going to be about making amends to the world and doing what I can to maybe leave the world an (almost) better place than it was when i arrived.

  12. Gamers didn't deserve Far Cry 5s ending. Most people obviously wanted the generic predictable ending. They actually made you think he was crazy and I did not think that it could happen whatsoever even though he was literally telling you the whole time.
